  1. are most all of the internal hard parts interchangable. my problem ordered a fresh rebuilt trans for my 2007 1/2 new body style trans. according to my trucks glove box code and the chevy dealer near by it was suposed to be a 4l60e. it is not. as soon as installed got trouble light on dash.shifted hard and the trouble code turned out to be no signal from turbine speed sensor. purchased from a very reputable tranny builder in Georgia but after 5 phone calls im beginning to get the feeling that they dont want it back for an exchange for the proper 4 l70 e that it now looks to need. the trans i took out[FACTORY] has15 pins. they have been really nice but we never get to the place of doing the deal even tho the correct trans will fetch them another $400.00 PLUS SHIPPING. so to get to the point i m wondering if i should just bite the bullet and tell the local, very reputable shop to tear apart the new trans and rebuild my old one with as many of its parts that it can, especially because there are a lot of upgraded or modified parts i paid for in there. any good advice would be appreciated because im pretty much out of $$$ to fix this and CALI wont even let me re register my truck with any trouble codes still in existense. ps just removing the codes wont do it either.
  2. the other thing i dont understand is that there is a 4L70 code that is used on the glove box sheet and mine doesnt have it so whats the difference between my 15 pin 4l60 e and a 4l70 e. its really driving me nuts that GM says one thing and my very reputable tranny guy whoose been doing it sinse 1980 say way different things and because of it i ve already recieved and installed one wrong tranny so far and cant afford to get another wrong one. any one know what the cerial number should look like for a 4L70 e trans? i think they used them in the MAX trucks.
  3. is there such a thing as a 4l60 e for this truck with a 15 pin connecter or is this a 4l70 trans. my code in glove box says M 30 but my trans guy in Georgia says BS.
