  1. Hi all, It was suggested that I add some transmission fluid, after checking my fluid my "cold" level was fine but my "hot" level was low. I added about half a quart and It seems to have improved, albiet I did this a few days ago only, will give updates. Wouldn't think transmission fluid would be on the lower end at 32k miles.
  2. Hello all, I have a 2018 silverado crew cab 5.3 with headers and dyno tune, and the oddest thing happens when i'm turning a corner. it seems to almost be stuck in a high gear after turning a corner and upon accelerating the RPMS actually go down as well as lackluster performance and poor speed... if I jam on the gas pedal it will down shift but at really high RPM which seems completely out of line. Versus after turning a corner, accelerating and the RPM going up and a gradual transition to a higher gear. Please advise, thanks in advance!
  3. HI, I'm supposed to go back this Friday for something else and figured I would bring it up to them at that time, not sure what the cluster and scanner are saying regarding temp. We're in Florida.
  4. Hello all, I had some long tube headers put on my 2018 5.3 silverado with a high flow 160 stat and a "street tune/calibration", the truck ran great without the radiator fans running all the time. This tune/calibration was taken off. I recently got a Dyno tune done to the truck and my radiator fans are running NON STOP. Was this because the technician made a mistake and didn't realize I changed my thermostat, or is it even with a high flow 160 stat the fans now have to run all the time? please advise, thanks a lot!
  5. Hello all. I have a 2018 silverado with a 5.3 I have American racing headers installed with some Borla dual side exit exhaust, I also changed the manifold to the one for the 6.2 liter, cold air intake etc The problem is it's not calibrated. What device would you recommend to get this properly calibrated ? Thanks in advance!
  6. Hi Lucas and thanks for all the help, I understand If I get a TC i'd have to get my transmission tuned, however if I change the gears to 4.56 would I have to get the transmission tuned? thanks again
  7. HI thanks for the input, I don't know what type of plugs he put in, apparently the plug cables were getting fried by the headers and caused #7 to misfire, as well as a few others not as frequently though, the guy that did my mods suggested I get a new torque converter that would "feel like I lost 800 lbs of weight in the truck"
  8. Thanks for the advice, I'll look into changing the gears.
  9. Hello All, I have a 2018 5.3 silverado, currently have a 6.2 manifold and throttle body, cold air intake, new thermostat, (had high performance plugs until they started misfiring now back to GM), Borla dual exhaust, american racing long tube headers, and a tune. I have a 7" lift with 35" tires. Besides a supercharge or turbo I heard there is not a ton more I can do besides a high performance torque converter. Any suggestions or advice on this would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

  11. Considering this seems like a calibration issue with the transmission (as it was "on the road" calibrated) is it possible for this to happen sometimes, and then at other times nothing happens at all? Case in point, I drove it this afternoon at around 25-30 MPH at 1000-2000 RPM in 5th gear and felt the several small "shifts" or "slips" that I normally feel. However, when back on the highway, 65 MPH at around the same RPM 1000-2000, and didn't feel any of the many slips, jerks, I felt just this past saturday at the same speed and RPM's. Is this commonplace with a "modification" like this? Thank you!
  12. Sorry I meant to say it's slipping at points, not shuddering, and pretty much only in 5th and 6th gear at lower RPM. I was on the highway (maybe 65 mph) at say 1500 to 2000 RPM and had so many point of sudden "slips" for lack of a better term, and had to exit the highway. in gears 1-4 it seems to have no real issues, even at high rpms, and gears 5 to 6 has seemingly no real issues at high rpms for the most part. But when the RPM goes down to say 1500 to 2000 at at a constant speed ( 40mph to 60Mph ) it seems to have the worst points of slippage
