Ive kinda just been dealing with the rubbing as it’s not too bad

I actually had a buddy I work with used an air chisel to get it out but I think it may have pushed the shaft down a little bit because once the new steering wheel was on it rubs against the plastic that goes around steering column and I took the steering wheel back off and put old one back on just to see if it would rub as well and it did so I’m kinda just dealing with it right now thinking of putting a washer on the shaft between the steering wheel to push it out so it won’t rub

The thing is I don’t have any of those tools available I’d have to go buy some but I’m honestly afraid I’d screw it up even more. My appointment with local dealership is Thursday but I’m starting to think they might not even be able to get it out or want to mess with it

I haven’t tried drilling yet I called a local mechanic I’ve used before and he said that bolt material is too hard to drill that almost only way may be to weld a nut to it then try with a socket but he wasn’t comfortable welding inside my truck and no I used a t50 torx and rounded out the bolt so now a t50 torx bit just spins inside the bolt

Do you think the dealer could get it out? I don’t have a pencil torch I have a heat gun that’s about it. The bolt has thread locker on it and I tried using an impact on it and that’s what rounded out the bolt

I tried replacing the steering wheel in my custom with a high country steering wheel because also got high country cluster and I ended up rounding out the torx bolt trying to get it out any one know how to get it out I talked to local mechanic said that bolt was too hard to drill I have an appointment with the dealership for them to try and get it out but I’m worried they won’t be able to get it and without changing the steering wheel the cluster is useless

Hi I have a 2021 Silverado 1500 and I’m putting in a 3.5” rc lift and eventually will be doing new wheels probably 20x9 and bigger tires my question is will I need wheel spacers I’ve heard I might to clear the break calibers? Ive never had wheel spacers before so they are new to me any help would be appreciated
