    I have the 170 alternator in my RST and asked my dealer SM if I could just install the factory 220 without any problems, like an ECU change. He did not know and said he would find out. These new trucks have something called a smart charging system so it makes me think the alternator may be controlled by the ECU. Any thoughts? I want an upgrade to power some communication equipment.

    Okay, I think I figured it out. For some reason there seems to be a cap on how many files I can have on the root of the flash drive. So I just created a folder, then put all the songs in there and they are all recognized and play. Go figure. I know the max amount of files for an NTFS root is 512 but I only had a couple of hundred in there, no where near 512. So I'm stumped. Any of you guys have hundreds or thousands of music files in the root of your flash drive? I have that mini sandisk cruzer fit 64GB. Thanks for everybody's help and suggestions. garyo

    Yes I did a search and could not find them. Yes they are all MP3 format. I guess I'll change the volume name and see if that works. Thanks for the reply's.

    The USB music player works very well, I really like it. I added some new songs to the device but when I plug it back into the truck it does not see them. Is there a way to rescan the USB flash drive so the radio can see the new songs? I searched and could not find it. Thanks, garyo

    How do you like it? I am teetering between the E2 and RX. I know the RX costs more, I'm just not sure if it's worth it. When I first looked under the hood, the first thing i thought was where to locate a can. How hard do you think it will be to empty? How many miles did you have on the truck when you installed the can?

    This may be the reason that GM says to remove the - negative terminal before you flat tow.
