I have a 2020 Silverado 5.3L 8 spped transmission and I just got the check engine light and warning to take the truck into the dealer in the next 7 days. Truck would not shift into drive after selecting 4L on transmission. I have a ODB tool and check the code was P0796 Pressure Control Solenoid C performance or stuck Off. It turns out there is a TSB on this since December 2020. the TSB is PIP5771 and suggests the correction to have the transmission pan removed and inspected, if clean then the control valve biody hsould be replaced, if evidence of failed clutch material ( metal shavings/debris then transmission should be evaluated for repair /replacement.
