    Haven't heard of Northstar. I'll check them out. I just charged the original using "repair" mode on the charger. Says it is fully charged but we'll see. Thanks.

    I just signed up to this forum today. My original battery in my 2015 Sierra 1500 just died so I'm replacing it with an Optima. I am considering up-grading the alternator as well. Does anyone have experience with The "Power Bastards" 320A High Output Alternator for GMC Sierra 1500, 2014 - 2018 5.3L V8 (325c.i.)???

    I'm new here. Purchased my 2015 Sierra 1500 a few years ago. Original battery just started failing last week and went dead today. Planning to go with an Optima AGM Yellow Top Battery DH7 Group Size 7 880 CCA Part #DH7 SKU #937710
