  1. Nothing wet underneath. Never had any oil loss issues before.
  2. My 2015 Silverado had a lifter failure and had a DOD delete done shortly after. Ever since, I have been burning approximately 2 quarts of oil per 1,000 miles. There are no visible oil leaks and there is no smoke or residue on the inside of the muffler. The shop changed the PCV valve and now they are stumped. I suspect they just don’t want to put the work in and dive back into the engine to see what’s wrong. Is there any insight as to where is going on with the oil and how to fix? Thanks

  4. I appreciate it. Might take it to a transmission shop to get it assessed. Would rather solve the problem now before it leaves me stranded also
  5. I have a 2015 Silverado 5.3 with 114k miles. Over the last few months, there has been a hesitation, jerking when accelerating from a lower speed around 25mph. It’s fine til about 25 or so mph then starts to hesitate, jerk a little as it switches gears. If you press the gas down hard, it shifts no problem. No other issues at high speeds. The issue does not appear to happen when the tow mode is on. Can anyone provide any insight? Transmission issue? I’m reading a lot about the Chevy shudder and vibrations. My truck does not have a vibration feeling like a rumble strips that people are describing. also, had a DOD delete done about a year ago. The issue started about a year after the DOD delete Any insight or help would be appreciated.
  6. 3rd brake light was just a burnt bulb. Working now. Still trying to figure out why the rear drivers turn signal and brake light are now working
  7. Have a 2015 Silverado and the left rear indicator failure alert recently came up. The top bulb was not working so I replaced it and neither the top or bottom works now. Brake light also does not work now. Just the white reverse light. Next step to replace wiring harness to that light??? Only the top blinker light did not work until I took the bulb out to replace. No corrosion noticed on the bulb connections. Also, just noticed the top brake lamp on the top of the cab is also not working. I’m assuming it just started not to work, but I qm not completely sure. Checked the fuses and did not find any blown. Thanks for any help
  8. Recently had my 2015 chevy Silverado towed to the dealer due to a presumed lifter failure. Engine had a loud knocking sound and running rough. Just hit 100k miles with regular maintenance. Dealership stated it is most likely lifter, but has to dig deeper to isolate the noise and figure out exactly the issue. The service adviser was giving me worst case scenario and saying have an engine swap. After reading other posts, some suggest lifter replacement with DOD delete cam. Anyone have any insight as to possible cost? Also, any suggestions on good shops that would perform the fix in the broward county area? I am Located in Coral Springs. I’m assuming the dealership would cost an arm and a leg to repair. I will update the post with the dealers diagnosis and cost to repair. Thanks for any info
