We purchased a 2017 Tahoe and recently noticed that the paint on the hood and the roof is fading. We took it to a Colorize body shop and they explained that it was the clear coat that was cracking. I then took it to the dealership where we bought it and they confirmed that it was due to the clear coat being cracked. Unfortunately our warranty expired at 3 years and or 360000 miles. We are at 54000 miles. We also have a problem with paint on the luggage rack brackets fading and coming off. This happened about a year ago, but the hood and roof became noticeable around February of 2022. I'm very disappointed that we should be having these problems especially since it is the most expensive car we have ever bought and that we will have to pay nearly $2000 plus to get everything repaired. It should be considered a recall problem. Much to my surprise, the Chevrolet estimate was lower than Colorize one. I definitely be contacting the complaint department of Chevrolet.
