  1. I have no experience within the factories, but I can chime in and say that the interior quality issues in a made in Mexico GM seems to be true, at least in my case. I have a '22 refresh, Sierra Denali. Interior trim fitment issues, and screws improperly fastened to the point where some of the plastic tabs have cracked / enlarged the holes. That has to do with a worker and proper QC ... sorry but there is some truth to variations in quality when coming from different factories. Morale and average IQ play a role no matter where you go. Perhaps the US factory has more laziness, perhaps it's Mexico - who knows. But where there's a human element, you can't honestly claim things are 100% the same. That's just plain stupidity.
  2. I have the 2022 Sierra Denali refresh, and am having the same issue. Frustrating. In my case, I cut off the rubber feet and put thin strips of double sided tape underneath the charging pad. There's still a small gap, but much closer. Unfortunately I still have intermittent charging so it's the combination of the distance between the charge coil, the bottom of the rubber pad, and I think the thickness as well. My iPhone XS charged without issue however, and now only the iPhone 14 Pro is having issues charging I'm sure because of the camera hump. Annoyingly finicky. I've contemplated seeing if there's a way I can somehow route an Apple MagSafe charger inside the console, and mounted to the underside of the rubber pad to see if that's a better solution. Edited to say I returned the iPhone 14 Pro, and bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Problem solved in my case; the phone is larger so there's more surface area to connect up to the wireless charge pad's "sweet spot". Only issue now, is this thing is damn heavy to carry around in your pocket haha
