Ok so I have a sensor that is using the power for my 2023 silverado rear view mirror that I just purchased. GEN5DIY made me a custom harness that just pigtails off of that sensors power and easy peasy!.... Best upgrade so far! Just make sure you get the right parts that fit your vehicle. Yes there are only 2 but I am waiting for Gen5diy to get back to me for a harness and hopefully I get it working. I will post am answer by Monday

Oh and I found this in the headliner above the passenger side in my 2023 RST..... does anyone know what it is and can we use it?

I have a 2023 RST and have your same issue... what wires did you tap into to get it to work cause I want to do the same thing? If you have pics that would be the best too! Thanks!!!

It's not sure if this helps.... I have a 2023 RST and I am trying to do the video mirror upgrade but don't have the harness available but I did find this up above the passenger side in the headliner. Maybe someone can shed some light as to what this is and can we use it.

So I was able to ad one to my 23 silverado and same issue... no top release but everything else works. Took it to the dealership to try and sneak in a fix but they said it didn't come with the truck and no way to fix it. Not sure if they were lying or not but I am still looking for a fix. For now I have made a fix with zip ties to open the top manually until I find a fix for it.

Just got a multiflex for my 2023 Silverado RST.... plugged it in and everything worked but the small gate. Everything plugged but no play but it is an wasy swap and will fit to replace your regular tailgate. Took it to the dealership where they told me that my truck didn't come with that feature and it won't work... I am not sure to keep it and wait for a possible fix or harness or I have seen where a guy has tied up strings to each latch to manually unlock it. We need a fix soon as I am sure someone has have to done this.
