I realize this is a loaded question but....
I have 79 k20, that I my grandson uses. He was going to replace the original radio with something new. He took out the old one and pushed a bunch of wires "up out of the way". When I went to drive it the other day, the engine quit the second i pushed the clutch in. To make a long story short the clutch arm was rubbing against some wires that go through the firewall, heard a few sparks burnt plastic smell for a second. Unfortunately I can't see well enough even with glasses to see clearly what is going on. One wire i can tell for sure that shorted out was the from the tach to the coil. Of the top of your head can anyone tell me what other wire in the vicinity that would cause this symptom. Thanks...
