  1. I have not poked my head up to look at the number of connectors, I just assumed I had 2 of them from research I have done. As all the single connector ones I have found say "Not for trucks with onstar". And the ones with the 2 separate wires are much more expensive. I will definitely try to look in the panel and see, it just sucks that I have to disassemble everything just to look lol.
  2. I had made a previous post about some XM radio issues I have been having, so I figured I would make another post about this specific question. I believe my shark fin antenna has gone bad, as XM claims the signal is blocked and I can't even hear channel one, even if I'm in an open parking lot. I have a 2014 Silverado 1500, so Onstar is no longer compatible due to it being 3G. The actual antenna replacement is roughly $90, with the 2 plugs. My question is, can I get the cheaper antenna (only like $30) with just the one plug and have it still work? I know my Onstar wouldn't be plugged in, but like I said, I cant use that anymore anyways. Would the cheaper one with only one plug be compatible?
  3. Sorry for the double post, but quick question. Since onstar wont work on my vehicle anyways, do you think the cheaper shark fin antennas with only one plug for XM would work? I know if I did that, onstar wouldn't work but I mean I cant use it anyways.
  4. I was wondering if that antenna was going bad. Sucks that it’s $90 for a replacement. But it is what it is. Thank you for the input and instructions!
  5. Yes, I do have the shark fin antenna on the roof.
  6. I just bought a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. When I press the navigation button on the screen, I get no map or anything, just a big "N" (I will attach a picture of what I see). Any idea what could be causing this? I should also note, as maybe this issue is related or maybe it isnt, XM doesn't seem to work either. It just says "no XM signal reception may be blocked" (even in an open area) and we have sent refreshes and contacted XM multiple times with no luck.
