  1. Removed the old lock cylinder, rekeyed the new one to my original keys, reinstalled the new cylinder and it turned and fired right up. Took approximately 30-45 mins. Best I can tell the old tumblers were wore and out of no where wouldn't allow the key to turn. Thanks for the input! Hope this helps someone else out.
  2. Update: still haven't got the ignition switch to turn. Tried blowing it out with compressed air and a little shot of WD40. Still no luck. Local GM dealer had the lock cylinder kit, part #84668679. Going to remove my cylinder with a the Locktech HU100 IRTV2 and key this new cylinder to my original key. Will update when I complete the swap.
  3. 2014 Silverado 1500. The key goes in the ignition just fine but won't turn. The wheels are straight, but I still tried turning the wheel hard, jiggling, nothing will unlock the ignition so it will turn and start the truck. Tried jiggling the gear shifter, tried using my spare key. Truck is parked on level ground. Never had an issue with the ignition being hard to turn or glitchy. Any idea?
