  1. Here is the culprit! Broken AFM lifter spring...luckily/somehow that little piece was still in assembly and did not go through the engine. Cut open the filter and took apart the oil pans and did not find any other metal
  2. I had a lifter spring break at 105k on my 14 Sierra 6.2 and bent a pushrod. I am in process of tearing everything down and replacing the cam with a BTR stage 2 kit, lifters, springs, pushrods, trunions, oil pump, chain tensioner, long tube headers, and so on. When I removed the cam retainer plate I noticed an uneven ring of wear from the phaser. Thoughts on what may have caused this? I was planning to re-use the phaser but now thinking that I should get a new one. Also, on the block there is a flat machined in area for the chain...is that factory to leave that metal burr or was the chain loose and chafing in on the block? It almost looks like the chain was hitting there but did not appear to be any indication of that on the chain itself.
