I have a 2017 Silverado that has a very light transmission shudder going uphill. Shifts fine, no hard shifts at all, and only shudders going up hill, and it is very light. Has 82k miles on it, and the fluid and filter were changed at 72k. Added the thermal bypass at the same time. When I changed the fluid, I was shocked by how little material was on the magnet. So that brings me to the question of should I add a lubegard additive or not to this? Either platinum or red? Some people say it works well, and others say to not add anything else.
