  1. Good news. They are looking into it. Will update as I know more. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Just sent him an email. Chris, would you give him a heads up if you don't mind? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I'd much rather stress over it all, lol. I'll email him shortly. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. What's their shipping charge? The $341 I found was with free shipping. I can't imagine it wouldn't. Believe me, I'll get frustrated and want to pull the trigger. If you think about it, there's the USB between the cluster and HUD (has been the hardest to find), the wiring b/t the cluster and HUD and the wiring to the switch. From the HUD: 1 wire goes to the cluster 2 wires go to the switch 1 to ground 1 to + voltage From the switch: 2 go to the HUD 1 to ground 1 for the LED backlight dimmer I'm confident I've found the connector that goes to the HUD (will confirm when it arrives) and think I may have the switch connector identified. I've got to figure out which terminals to use in those connectors. I just ordered the correct colored/striped wire Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. No, from Amazon. It's the right USB type, just the over molding around it is too large. The OEM USB cable with the correct connectors is part of the I/P harness as well. I wonder if GM uses that same USB in other areas where it might be a stand alone cable.
  6. Here's some additional pics of the Denali cluster and HUD unit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. So the ends of the USB cable I ordered don't quite fit. The bulky ends keep it from going in. I may try to remove some of the material unless someone knows of a slimmer version. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I have what I hope are the right connectors on order. The mini-B USB cable is coming in today.
  9. As promised... Denali I/P harness w/HUD: 23268835 HUD cluster visor in cocoa: 23181840
  10. In the pic, I don't see a spot for the forward collision alert unit. Wonder if the HUD takes care of that in its place. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Best price I found was around $340. I'll post it's p/n along with the HUD cluster visor in cocoa. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Here's some dash pics of my Yukon with forward collision alert and without HUD (for now...) Forward collision unit attached Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Here's the connections and part numbers listed on the Denali cluster, HUD and switch used for my model year Yukon (2015.5). Denali cluster HUD unit HUD switch The switch mounts to the left of the steering wheel in the silver trim below the vent. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. My parts guy and I did some searching and there's nothing but the I/P harness listed. SUVs with HUD have a different part number for their I/P harness which includes the mini-B USB connections along with the other plugs for the HUD and switch. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I'll take responsibility for getting us off topic. I'll repost the pics, etc. in the other thread.
  16. Yes, I would say it steps down.
  17. Here's pics of the area in my Yukon with forward collision alert and without HUD. Here's where the switch goes in the suvs. On the silver trim under the vent.
  18. On the suvs, I believe there is a larger and/or separate opening for the HUD in the cluster visor. Chris, please correct me if I am wrong. If there is, and GM offered it in the trucks, then that would address the cutting issue. The HUD switch is mounted to the left of the steering wheel just under the vent in the suvs.
  19. I haven't seen a how to or pics of an install either. I will be doing so with my Yukon. With pgamboa's help, I've identified one of the connectors and think I've found the other for the switch. I'll be making a custom harness. The main difference b/t the trucks and suvs I can see would be the cluster visor. They look to be shorter in length than the suvs. Does anyone know if GM offers an HUD in the trucks as an OE option?
  20. It's in one of my previous pics above. The wiring is part of the I/P harness. I'm working on finding the connectors and will create a custom pigtail. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I made sure to get the correct part numbers from the dealer and found everything so far on eBay. What I found was sold as new condition and appears to be so after I received and inspected them.
  22. Sweet, thanks Chris. Do I need to send the cluster and HUD unit to you to do the programming or just the cluster?
  23. Chris, do you know if I'll have any issues just running the Denali cluster by itself after you do the programming to it for my Yukon and the HUD functionality? I'm currently looking for the correct connector and wire terminal part numbers for the HUD connector and HUD switch that mounts in the dash, but would like to go ahead and install the cluster once you're done with it. 24. Got mine today. Looks to be in great shape. Of course, I only took a pic of the connections because I'm working on building a wire harness for it and the HUD. At most, I'm hoping to only have to pin a couple wires in the blue connector. I'll know more when I get a look at my I/P harness connector. The smaller connector is a mini-B USB plug. I believe it sends the info to the HUD. I haven't had any luck with its specific connector, but I think I can use any male to male mini-B cable. Here's the connections on the HUD. 25. GTPprix, thanks for your response earlier. I just grabbed one so now there's 3 left. Now to investigate the wiring needed...
