  1. GM Borla dual rear exit....sound is getting a bit better as it runs in over time. Nice growl under acceleration, quiet at cruise, no V4 drone! Worth the extra cash
  2. You will be glad you made the plunge...the Borla system bolts right up and was an easy on the driveway install! As you get some miles on it the system will "run in" a bit and get a little more throaty. Nothing obnoxious, just a bit more tone.
  3. No the GM tip will not work on the GMPP Borla Stock tail pipe diameter 2.75" Borla exhaust exhaust pipes are dual outlet 2.25"
  4. Yes the stock exhaust can be removed without cutting it.... I installed the GMPP Borla exhaust with the flapper and bypass pipe. Good sound when you get on it. Quiet in the cabin at cruising speeds and no V4 drone, no choppers following me
  5. Got my GMPP Borla at 15% off regular price...at my dealership...
  6. Pic of access Lorado installed
  7. What details are you looking for? The GM/Borla exhaust is the only one with a flapper and bypass pipe to help with drone and resonance issues... All other cat back systems are a crap shoot as to whether or not you will get any of theses issues. Chambered mufflers seem to be worse in this department...but that isn't in stone. Drone and resonance are something of a personal taste nature...what your ears find pleasing or not....some don't mind it and others hate it.
  8. Absolutely agree with this....I read this entire thread about 5 times before choosing my exhaust...I even decided against one brand because of posts here about drone and resonance issues. I decided on the GM part because it has a flapper and bypass pipe the others do not. No drone or resonance so far!
  9. I am extremely happy with my GMPP Borla....nice bark outside....very low mild rumble inside under acceleration. No drone! Fit perfectly...was simple to install.... My truck is almost 2 weeks old too
  10. Yes touring muffler... Sound is quite subdued... I am sure it will get a bit more aggressive as it runs in over a few weeks. Still very quiet inside...nice bark under hard acceleration, but still not boy racer loud. So far sounds just like the videos Borla has posted for the GM systems. Took about 1.5 hours total for install, doing it solo... Took most of the time getting the truck up high enough to get the stocker out in one piece. Will be towing our 7,000#+ travel trailer up to south Lake Tahoe next week, so we will see how it goes.
  11. Exhaust is installed!
  12. Borla GMPP dual out the back ordered and should be ready to pickup by tomorrow afternoon! Decided to go with GM system. More comfortable with installing a part with a GM parts number on my brand new truck...after warranty expires I will consider changing the muffler/removing the AFM flapper and doing a tune.
  13. Access Lorado roll up bed cover installed....now the bed is taken care of with full BedRug and Lorado cover! :-) GMPP Borla exhaust ordered and should be ready to pickup tomorrow!
  14. Full bedrug on my 2014. Had the same in my 2008 Duramax and it worked great...Access Lorado is on its way to me now!
  15. Has anyone considered cutting the valve out of the stock system and then having it welded into a new cat back system on the inlet side like the a Borla GM system...seems you could end up with the same thing minus the small bypass pipe on the GM product.
  16. Check out this video from Borla. At about 38-45 seconds it shows pictures of two exhausts and both show a flapper valve and bypass pipe just. Like the Borla systems you can purchase from GM... I wonder if you can purchase directly from Borla now?
  17. I am highly considering getting the dual out the back Borla from Chevy....their part number and still has flapper for V4 mode. Pretty sure I can get it at a discount from my dealer. Have considered Gibson and Magnaflow, but feel a bit better about going with a GM endorsed part. Just sold my 2008 Duramax, so just getting back into the gasser mode...
