I have a 2016 Siverado that has the same problems/symptons. Ready to burn the truck down. I did the "Turn Screen Off' thing in the settings and it works awesome most of the time. I do it as soon as I turn the key on. Every once in awhile it may turn the screen on showing the selections to turn screen off. Click that to turn it off. Also, seems some bumps will trigger the screen to come back on. If you turn a knob like the AC temp or whatever you have to push the screen off selection again. But it has made driving the truck great again! This would suggest that it is the screen that is the problem?
