Ok, I'm a new member and I'm gonna' jump in here. I joined to find info on repairing the console lock on my 2001 Z-71 and ran across this trans post. Long ago I learned it was bad to shift an automatic while still moving. But, certain, ahem...people...wouldn't listen. I hate to tell you this guys but, if a man (such as the ex) ever shifts MY truck while it's still moving again....he pays for the next trans that has to be put in it! I regret ever letting him drive my baby. And if he ever complains about repairs on MY truck again (such as the trans rebuild last summer) I'm gonna' do damage to his stupid F-150. Oh, never mind, he abuses the poor thing enough himself...It has all my sympathy.
