First post here, been doing a lot of searching and reading on this site, but couldn't find an answer related to an issue I had. I recently bought a brand new 2015 Sierra 1500, SLE, 4WD Crew cab, 6.5' bed, to replace my 2004 Chevy Avalance. I had the curtain airbags deploy on me while on a mountainous road, bumpy, ruts, and side angles. GM is fixing the issue once on goodwill, so it is taken care of. So my question is there a way to temporally disable the airbags or curtain airbags (GM won't answer that obviosly)? From what I read, the new trucks have more electronics intergrated, and its no longer simply pulling the fuse marked airbags. Manual doesn't show any "airbag" fuse. I was thinking there may be a fuse, but its no longer marked "airbag." They weren't certian if shifting into 4-HI or 4-LOW would change the parameters for airbag deployment. If there isn't really a way, I'll try to get some answers from GM on more specifics on what will set it off... is there a minumim speed? Angle? The represnetative made it sound like there is gov't specs on when curtian airbags will deploy in a rollover, but I thought it was more proprietary to each company? I don't plan to 4-wheel my truck much (I have a RZR for that now) but it is nice to be able to 4-wheel to a camping spot or somthing like that every so often without worry of airbag deployment. Thanks, Sterling

Hello. Is anyone having issues with the "air bag service light"? At 140 miles the abs sensor and bearing in the front passenger side went bad and the dealer had to replace it. The next 3700 miles with this truck were awesome but now I've been dealing with this air bag service light for the last 400 miles. I've already had the dealer look at it 3 times and they can't seem to fix it. The dealer inspected the wiring harness under the driver's seat and removed extra grease, then they replaced wiring harnesses, now they did some reprogramming and it's still acting up. There is nothing that triggers it, it just comes on when it wants to. I could be driving to the corner store and it comes on, stays on for about 10 - 15 seconds then it turns off. A mile down the road it comes back on for another 10 - 15 seconds then it turns off. I am beyond frustrated with this to say the least. Any comments / suggestions / recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Out of all the airbags on the market, which ones do you recommend? Anyone running the Hellwig? Looking for low pressure kit.

So I bought my truck totaled and am repairing it, should be getting it back from the shop today and then have a few last things to wrap up on it before I can get it on the road! One of the last things I need to do is replace the SRS Airbag module before I have the new driver's air bag put in. From what I've been able to find, I have to remove the driver's seat and get underneath the carpet to remove the module. Nothing majorly difficult, just a pain. Has anyone had experience doing this? Also, anyone know if the truck will drive without the airbag module connected? I need to pull it in and out of my garage to work on it while I'm waiting for the replacement, and it'd be a heck of a lot easier than pushing it in and out!

Getting "Service Air Bag" signal. Anyone have experience with the fault annunciation? What is the most likely cause and corrective action?

My Air Bag light is flashing and I am pretty sure it has something to do with the electrical/wiring part of the air bag. More specifically I had a scan run and it said the driver's side roof-rail air bag has something wrong with it(Don’t remember the specific codes). This truck has a salvage title and the driver's side air bag has been replaced. Where exactly is the location of that connection? I know is it somewhere behind the air bag (towards the back of the truck rather than the front). It has nothing to do with the module or anything else. I am just about 99% sure it has to do with the connection between the wiring and air bag.

Hello All, The battery died a few weeks back in my 2005 Suburban. I jumped the battery and then it threw a "Service Airbag" message and light. I scanned the codes and I got BOTH a B0100 and a B0103. I see that they are for both front sensors. I mean...what are the chances that BOTH just went bad? Any suggestions for I replace both? Thanks so much, guys...and gals.

Hello .. I've been getting an intermittent air bag light for a while. A few days ago my wife drove the truck and had to adjust the drivers seat. From that time on the light has been constant. I took a look today and saw that three of the four wires that go into a Delphi PA6 GB20 GF10 connector have broken off at the connector. It looks like I should be able to crimp on new pins and be good to go. Does anybody know of a source for the pin and if any special tooling is required? Is there a better idea to repair this? Thanks!
