I am brand new to posting on forums, but I have used much info from them. I have a 2003 Yukon XL with 126,000 that I bought recently. It had been sitting for 3+ years. It had NO power and could barely climb the slightest grade. It started and idled fine. The check engine light was on and it had 2 codes, random misfire and mass airflow sensor out of range. I decided to replace the MAF and it had no affect. Since it has 2 separate cats, truck still ran ok at idle Here are the specs before repair: fuel pressure - 45psi - Increases if i remove the regulator vacuum line Vacuum at idle - 14 - 15 inhg fluctuating. replaced: air filter MAF MAP Fuel filter Plugs Wires All with no affect. Pulling off the coil pack leads one at a time, the pass side seemed to have less affect than the drivers side. Threw in the towel and limped it to my local garage. They confirmed that that it was a clogged catalytic converter on the passenger side. I replaced it, and now all seems fine. It is not as obvious with 2 cats as it is with one. I'm not sure if the sitting around corroded the cat or the fact that they would start up and idle the truck for long periods during it's storage. Just thought this info would be useful to some else. Now I get to find out what else is wrong......

Hi there I'm fresh on the 2014 sierra scene and looking to get first upgrade. If anyone has catback, tips, headers anything let me know for a 6.2! Thanks!

Woke up Saturday and realized I had left my driver's side window cracked (Ok about 4-5 Inches) and my huge cats (12+ pounders) managed to get in. Generally not a big deal unless they CLAW THE SEATS. Lets just say it was a "well that really sucks(plus some)" moment since I only have 3500 miles on it.. Can't fix the past, so, what kind of options does anyone know about fixing it? Do I have to get the whole seat back replaced or can they just replace the leather?

Leather seats do not hold up to cat claws...Weird.

Lets start off, I don't care about being emission compliant thats for tree hugers. (Already have a full cat back) This coming June I'm deleting my EGR and putting on a Volant cold air intake and having my truck tuned at the local performance/fab shop. Also putting on 275/70/18 terra grappler g2 on which is 33x11. I'm not going to do shorty style headers because headers give you more performance at the top end because of the back pressure. I never drive my truck over 2500 rpm's plus I don't want it to be supper loud going down the highway next year. (driving to collage every day and its my daily driver and I tow daily) I'm trying to get maximum flow in and out to get good highway mpg. I hope theres some guys on there have have done it and can give some input. Thanks!
