  1. I have a strange problem with my 2014 Sierra SLT 1500. Randomly the doors will self-lock and the mirrors will fold. This will happen even while driving down the road. I will unfold the mirrors and they will refold in a couple seconds. After 3-4 times, it will quit. It is disconcerting because it can self-lock even while idling in the driveway. I have to use Onstar to unlock my truck. But I have to be quick and yank the door open instantly or it will self-lock again in about 1 second. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
  2. so I brought my truck in to get detail this past weekend. When I picked it up and drove maybe 50ft my doors locked and then kept constantly locking as if someone was pushing the lock button repeatedly. I took it back to the detailer and of course they claim they didn't do anything and they're not on the hook for fixing it. Has anyone had this issue before? I had a mechanic look at it and he said there is nothing wrong with the switches or door actuators. The truck is now at the dealer and I am hoping I dont have an astronomical bill to pay.
  3. hopefully one of you smart people on the site would be able to help me! Okay a couple times now since I bought my truck I have had it running and or just shut off with keys ignition and it's automatically just lock the doors on me very frustrating as I only have one set of keys I do have a key fob with it and the lock and unlock button both work the door panel lock and unlock button don't work I have to use the lock and unlock button on my key fob to unlock the door I think when the vehicle is shut off and after I've open and close my door I think then I can use the unlock button or know the lock button on my driver side I don't know it's very frustrating because the last time I was locked out of my truck but the keys inside I had to drive almost an hour to the dealership to get a new key cut which I guess is a good thing cuz he can't have too many of these keys I'm telling you LOL cuz you just never know when the trucks going to lock you out! Anyways the last time I got the steel rod through the seal on the door and I managed to press the unlock button with it the truck was shut off the keys were inside, and it did nothing. It was totally dead the unlock button was so useless it's not funny I don't even think I can pull the door handle maybe just when the trucks running though wait I'll check yeah no I'm right I just shut the truck off doors are all locked keys are in my hand I'm sitting here and I cannot even pull the door handle on the driver side to open my door??? Is this like that passive aggressive door lock thing or whatever I'm just confused or so many people that have issues with the Locking mechanisms or something please somebody please please help me !! And hopefully you are able to make sense of my post here, this is me with technology talk and text LOL I guess I should proofread before I hit send but I never do I'm sorry anyways any questions just right back thank you, Angela
  4. I've searched the forum but found no useful information. I just purchased a 19999 Silverado 1500. The truck came with no keyless entry remotes. The power door locks do not work at all. When I push the lock/unlock button I can here a clicking inside the doors the first time I push it. All subsequent pushes of the button result in no noise. The locks operate easily manually and with the key. What I've tried so far: 1. checked and tested all the fuses and relays in the fuse panel at the end of the drivers side dash. All the fuses and relays are good. Does anyone have any other ideas about what to check before I rip off both door panels and replace the actuators?
  5. I'm new to the forum. I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 Crewcab 4x4 SLE. My problem is somewhat intermittent. Mostly on rainy days the drivers door lock and all of the controls on the drivers door will not work until in unplug the unit for a few minutes, then it will usually work. Also this is an old company truck that was used in a limestone quarry for the last year or 2 before I bought it. My question is, if unplugging the switch assembly gets everything to working again, is the switch assembly the likely culprit causing the issue or is it possibly something else? Any help will be greatly appreciated. This truck has heated seats and memory for the seat and mirrors. The mirrors are also power folding and auto dimming with turn signals. One additional note is that the power drivers seat and seat heaters for the drivers seat have not worked in quite some time. Thank you for any help.
