Hey. I have a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. I have mice entering the cab of my truck. I contacted Chevrolet and was told to take it to the dealer. When I did, the first service advisor told me "don't park in rural areas and don't leave your doors open." The second service advisor told me that a technician looked at it and there was no damage to the external wires but he didn't take the dash off to see if there was any other damage even though I can see into the crack under the glove compartment and can tell the mice chewed up the insulation in that area. I have an open case with Chevrolet and my case manager has been in touch with the service department at the dealer. Last week, I was told to push the recirc button so the vent door would shut and this should fix the problem. I did that and so far I haven't noticed any more mice nibbling on the poison I put in there. So, here are my questions: 1) Is this a design flaw? It seems like a mouse should not be able to get in through the recirc vent. 2) Should I just let it go or should I insist on having the dash taken apart to make sure there is nothing else chewed up besides insulation? 2014 WT, Ecotec 4.3L V6. Rarely gets used. Bought new. First time they chewed through the injector harness. This time it is the wiring that goes to engine cooling fan and the alternator. Trying to do repairs and came upon this in the attached picture. It was wrapped in the tape of the harness and is something OEM. There are two wires (black with white stripe going in on one side and two smaller gauge wires coming out of the other. In between, there is the black plastic tube filled with a rigid white plastic. I don't know what is in the tube. The wires end up going to the ECM near the front driver side of the engine compartment. The black plastic tube has letters "FL-0" on it. Does anyone know what this is or what the wires control. Is it a fusible link maybe. The issue that is making repair difficult is that the wires that have been chewed through only have about 1/8th of an inch exposed before it goes into the white plastic making soldering or crimping impossible. I could try and trim away some of the plastic and expose more wire but if there is some component in the plastic it could be damaged. If nothing is in there i could cut the entire thing away and solder new wires. Any ideas?

So I have developed an issue this winter where mice have decided my truck was a good spot for hiding dog food (not sure how a mouse can haul a large breed junk of dog food but whatever). Anyway, I took my air box apart to find about 5# of dog food hidden under the filter!! What?!!! Funny thing is this happened with my old truck as well! Strange! Anyway, that dog food has somehow made it into my HVAC system. I literally have dog food rolling around in there somewhere and making it's way out the floor vents! I took the blower motor out and couldn't find anything there. It looks like they are getting access to the channel l that runs the width of the truck where the vents are by the windshield. So, how on earth am I suppose to get the dog food out of there and how do I keep them bastards out of my truck??
