Does anyone know of a company that makes brackets to fit a 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 to convert tow hooks to shackles (D rings). I see multiple sites that make them for 07-13 and 2019+ but can’t seem to find any for a 14-18. I don’t know why no site is listing them for these trucks and wonder if the brackets from the 2019+ or 07-13 would work on a 2017? Does anyone have any Insight or know of a company that does make them? Thanks

For anyone wanting to remove or replace the factory tow/recovery hooks on their 2014-2016 truck, here is a video to ease the removal. All I see and hear is how hard it is and how many people do extra work like removing bumpers and grills, or cut parts to get them off, so here is a simple method and only takes about 15 minutes to remove both sides using basic hand tools. Hope this helps somebody.

I purchased a 2017 4wd Yukon XL and it doesn't have front tow hooks. I ordered the tow hooks from a GM accessory website and one has already been installed. The other will work when installed. The problem is that the air dam below the bumper is not cut out so i had to do my own modifications on the air damn for the first tow hook installation. With the hook installed, it barely reaches the front edge of the air dam thus making the tow hook basically unusable. I am trying to locate the part number for the correct air dam with tow hook holes so it can be installed in place of the current one. Anyone have any ideas? I will reach out to my local dealer this coming week but I doubt they will be much help.
