Hello all! I went to start my 2005 Sierra earlier and noticed it said "service air bag" on the odometer. Before calling the dealer to service it I was just wondering if anyone had any experience/tips/advice? I've never had a vehicle require that. I was just wondering about stuff like whether it will cost money to service it or anything like that? Thank you guys in advanced for your input!

2014 GMC Sierra slt My service park assist and service airbag came on at the same time. I took it to the dealer and they said a bad front sensor (2nd one from driver side) was causing both of the alerts and wanted $700 bucks to fix it. I ordered the sensor and replaced it myself but the alerts aren't going away and the park assist system still doesn't work. Any ideas on if I need to do something else?

Hello Gents, just curious if anyone can help me diagnose my "service airbag" light that came up on my dash. '05 Silverado Z71, extended cab, 184k miles, 5.3HO. It recently came out the body with this new code, replaced bumper, and body work on the passenger side. I noticed it prior to leaving the shop and they said they a dealer had to diagnose it, and if the dealer determined it was from the repairs the repair shop would cover it. I first noticed it after adjusting the passenger seat, I had the rep look at it and he scanned it. He couldn't determine what the cause was and adjusted the seat a few times and got it to "disappear". He brought it out and showed me the TSB on it and what code was coming up. I ran it straight to a dealership and they wanted to keep it overnight and run diog on it in the morning, but didn't have other arrangements to get home. I don't care who does as long as I know it'll be there when I need it, but if the repair shops lifetime warranty will cover it then that would be a great help. Any help in what direction I need to take it would help.
