I'm the happy owner of a 2015 2500HD 6.0 Flex Fuel Double Cab. When I fill the tank, I get in and turn the key, pause, then bump the key to start. It will turn the starter longer than needed (3 or 4 seconds) then let go. The motor usually fires, but once in a while she'll stall. Mind you, this only happens at the pump. I have not had this issue any other time. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and opinions!

How can I stop the truck from chiming upon start up? There are other articles about listening to the radio with the doors open, taking out the keys, attaching seatbelt overrides, but none of them address how to prevent the truck from chiming six times when starting it. Within the IntelliLink settings there is a way to lower the volume of the startup chime, but not completely stop it. Is this a hard wire override, software setting, OBD2 delete? Thank you.

2017 Yukon making this loud sound around 75k miles, at the morning start up, or if it has not been driven for several hours. Local mechanic hasn’t figured it out. Have not tried dealership yet. Want to know what I’m getting into before I take it there. It sounds like it’s coming from under the car.

2001 gmc HD 6.6 Have had no issues prior to this, I have 173 000 on this truck. 92 degree day. Drove to dump today, turned off, emptied trash, finished and started it back up then drove to the gas station. Turned it off for about 15 minutes, came back out of store, turned it on, started back up then immediately died. Tried to turn it on again and it did not turn over. My dash came on, my gauges worked and it shifted into neutral no issue. Just wouldnt turn over, wouldnt even click. My only light that did not come on on the dash was my WAIT TO START icon for the glow bulbs. Had to have it towed home. Let it sit about 40 min, my husband went out to try it but used the spare key and started up no issue. Twice. No delay in turn over. I went and tried with both 3x each and it started up also, but took longer to actually start. Last oil and fuel filter change less than 1000 miles ago. Batteries 6.months old. I havent started looking at relays or fuses. What would be the difference between symptoms and trouble shooting a bad ignition switch versus a bad starter? Any help appreciated.

got a question for anyone thats on the forum and has some motor knowledge? I have a 2008 silverado with a ly2 ironblock,799heads,factory truck intake, cai,Mike norris motorsports dyno tune (hes locall to me),longtube, and 3" pro series flowmasters dumped. truck runs awesome for what it is. tunes been on the truck for a little over a year and ive started getting white smoke on a hot start after running the dog ****** out of it a slight hesitation on the start but nothing concerning except the smoke its got a oil smell to it not a sweet coolant smell and my coolant reservoir is full and doesn't lose coolant . cold start no smoke. putting a cam in this fall/winter and didn't know if oil is blowing by the rings meaning the rings are shot or if the head is bad or gasket idk trying to prepare myself for the worst.
