  1. Selling a brand new set of Baja Kits boxed upper control arms. I sold my 2016 1500 for a Duramax so these never got put on my truck. They are $899 brand new, im asking $700 spilt the shipping. They fit 14-18 silverado / sierra 1500 with factory aluminum upper control arms, and fit 16-18 silverado 1500 with factory stamped steel upper control arms. NEED GONE!!!!!
  2. I had a torsion key leveling kit put on my truck, raised the front about two inches. Gave me a little more clearance for the front air dam and overall gave me the look I wanted. No other mods at this point besides the keys. Factory shocks, wheels and tires. I've noticed going over speed bumps, or any decent bumps for that matter, the ride on the front end sucks. I've attached a few pics. My guess is it's an upper control arm issue, but I'd like those with more knowledge to chime in and tell me where I went wrong here. I'm a novice with this stuff. What I do know is the look is great, but that's about it, the ride has suffered significantly. What do I need to do (besides going back to stock keys)? The truck is a 2019 GMC 2500 CC, short bed. Not sure how much that really matters.
  3. Hello everyone, new to the forum, been lurking for a while finally decided to make an account. I have a 2017 Silverado LT Z71 with the stamped steel UCA's. I ordered the ReadyLift UCA/ 2.25" level kit because I've read so much on the issues with the factory control arms that I wanted to level my truck the right way (although it meant costing me an arm and a leg). Today I took the truck to my buddy shop, put the truck on the lift, swapped out the driver side control arm and well to us it looks like the shaft of the ball joint doesn't go in far enough into the knuckle. Another guy that works at the shop came by and thought the same thing. As if the shaft is thicker than the factory one and doent go in far enough. Not sure if thats how it is supposed to be or what but we decided to take it off and just see what ready lift says. Here are a few pictures, any info is appreciated especially if there is anyone out there running the control arms. Thanks in advance.
  4. RE: 2014 - 2018 Silverado/Sierra 1500 Wondering if any one has installed Readylift or Cognito UCA's with their leveling kit. Did you have to cut off the service perches/bump stop? If not have much clearance do you have between the UCA and the stop?
  5. Stock aluminum upper control arms and rancho coil over shocks off of my 2015 z71 sierra. Make me an offer. Would like to sell together but will sell shocks and arms separately. They have 25,000 miles on them.
  6. Good Day, everyone. As the title says, im In Search Of Greaseable UniBall Upper Control Arms to improve ride quality and wheel travel when off roading. I would love a pair of top-of-the-line control arms, but cant quite afford them, Which ones are you guys using or know of that wont break the bank ? But also that will hold up in very mild desert trips This is My Truck´s info and Front Suspension Set-Up: 2015 Silverado 1500 LS 5.3 with Cast Steel Lower Control Arms -3" Lift eBay Lift Spindles (2" wider track on each side) -Bilstein 5100 Shocks on the lowest setting -285 70 17 BFG KO2s on stock steel wheels Thanks a Lot in Advance And here are some videos of my truck:
  7. Okay, so I have a 2014 4wd Silverado on 35's and I have a 3.5 inch leveling spacer on top of my strut. I ordered a 2" leveling kit that goes on the bottom, so I would be stacking leveling kits for a combined height of 5.5 inches of lift. The only problem is all the other components. I know my upper control arms couldn't take that, but I cant find any UCA's that fit 5.5 inches of lift, only 3.5 at the most. Any suggestions on how i could stack the kits and not mess anything up? Also, I believe the UCA's are aluminum, I haven't looked in a while and I forgot. BTW mine is the one on the left.
  8. I have a 08 rwd sierra 1500. I am searching for all the parts needed to do a 2.5 level kit with the 3" spindle lift as well. I have all parts such as: 3" spindles Skyjacker shocks (have not bought yet in case I find better ones) Rear blocks with new U Bolts Rc 2.5" level kit ***what I am looking for now is the upper control arms. I have been looking everywhere for the "right" ones needed for awhile now and can't find them. The closest I have got were the Rough Country upper control arms for the 3" lift kit the sell. I talked to a representative on the phone and they weren't any help at all. Would those be the correct UCA's for the job? If anyone has done this lift or knows where I can buy them, please send me a link to the exact spot online where I can make the purchase. All help is greatly appreciated!
  9. about a week ago I started hearing a squeak coming from my front drivers side wheel well when turning the wheel and going over small bumps in the road at semi low speeds. took it in to the dealer and they took a look at it and determined that it was the upper control arm and ordered a new one and replaced it. I pull into work today with the windows down and pull in to my parking spot and I hear the same squeak. anyone else experiencing this squeak and have any idea what it is? Thanks.
