  1. It’s been doing it for 100k miles? Why worry now lol first things that come to mind would be bad engine coolant temp sensor, oil cooler or a cooling fan clutch issue . buy it never overheats? So what do you do when the message comes on? What makes it go away ?
  2. well if I didn’t just break my arm and now can’t drive for a while I’d do another tune/ no tune comparison fyi I did a 0-60 stock oem wheels and tires with obd mx link before my much heavier load range F Toyo mud terrain 35s and it was 7.36, so that gives you a sense of marked improvement. I think 6.5 seconds is easily achieved with stock tire size / no passengers or extra weight of things in the truck. Im not trying to win any drag race but it’s interesting what these trucks and engine can achieve given the weight of these trucks. the L8T savanna or express vans with a tune would be downright quick lol
  3. Yes I bought the one and only tuner for our L8T trucks, unlocked the ECM/ PCM loaded up the ridiculous 93 octane tune and had at it for your enjoyment . zero to sixty was a 6.87 as well 21 Sierra 2500 CC HD 6L90, leveled and 35” Toyo open country MT, full 36 gallons of fuel , driver / passenger and about 150 pounds of tools and accessories under the seat I must say very snappy for a heavy gas truck. I’m currently running the 87 tune with firm shifts and it’s great responsiveness for everyday. The 93 tune power boost is significant they claim 28 hp and 50 lbs ft torque I believe that . The 87/89 tunes are just a small power increase but really wake up the throttle and improve transmission shifts. Anyway posting for your enjoyment
  4. Starts with when the truck is new, any exposed metals I immediately prep and hit with rustoleum satin black, including front axle, drive shaft, lightly sand and hit the entire rear axle, basically anything uncoated. For the frame it’s simple no rocket science here, many will people will say the frame wax coating is trash on these trucks but it’s not, you just need to know what your working with and how to maintain it. You put ANYTHING over this coating you’re gonna melt/ destroy its integrity, been there done that. Frame maintenance has been a strict regime of underbody flushing and a maintenance coat/ repair of any areas on the original wax coating. Yes you can buy the original wax coating GM uses but in aerosol form and apply it over your frame. Simply clean and area, spray let it setup and you have fresh protection. Google Daubert NOX-RUST-X121B. This is the factory coating in aerosol form
  5. Your praises of my zero rust 61k mile ‘21 that is driven everyday day is much appreciated good sir! I have a regime of cleaning and protecting that I am very proud ! I will get some new measurements and share. I had them but lost the paper, I will say my droop travel is significant based on how much I need to jack the truck up after this work.
  6. 68k miles here and no problem issues. Have a 3500 L8T at work as well with 128k that’s gone through 2 6L90s but the engine is solid. My guess on what’s the first thing to go on these that is irrespective of maintenance or usage, the high pressure fuel pump for direct injection. About 2100 PSI cam driven and it’s only a matter of time until they go very similar to a diesel’s high pressure pump in design. Located on the very back of the engine nearest the firewall and under the intake manifold it will be a joy to one day replace .
  7. Hey Y’all Just bored and thought I’d share my mods from this past Summer, celebrating paying the truck off with installing a bunch of fancy new stuff . Kryptonite Uppers Here with Fox 2.5s, running stock keys turned up. The kryptonite keys even with the bolts all the way out gave me Carolina Squat ( kryptonite said truck is too light with their keys being a gasser plus I have the snowplow prep rated torsion bars. Full install in my driveway took about a day and a half not killing myself and doing everything proper. The FOX 2.5s were a major pain the ass to get in place especially mounting the reservoir, did I need 2.5s - no, did I just want to be a baller and put them one yes lol . Added KMC Impact forged wheels 18x8 with 18 mm offset and Toyo Open Country 35x12.5-18 load range F. I think it came out absolutely killer, very functional setup for what it is, rides the best it ever will with the limitations of the stock suspension. anyway just sharing in case anyone wanted to do a similar setup. Ask me anything if you like
  8. Hey All Its been a decade since I’ve owned a General Motors Truck. After having horrendous issues with 2 other domestic brands, I’m back with a 2021 Sierra 2500 6.6 Gas HD. Looking forward to this new journey. Love everything about this truck so far!!!
  9. Purchased Auto Dimming rear-view mirror, as advertised, fast shipping and well packed, would do business again!

  10. You guys are saying you can't fit a 16" rim on these trucks??? I have a 16" steel spare on for my 2500HD. Do the 1/2 ton trucks come with a larger diamater spare wheel?
