Let us know how the install goes, i'm very interested! As far as mpg, what are your driving habits? I'm averaging around 14 right now driving to work and back, and that is through town, mind you it's not stop and go traffic. I thought my driving habits weren't too bad.I never floor it and hold it there.I haven't been in stop and go backed up traffic,just normal around town stuff.Had the truck dynoed yesterday to get a baseline before the supercharger install.The dyno tech couldn't keep the trans from down shifting when he nailed it.This kept giving horsepower and torque curves a loop on the graph.What he did manage to get was 311hp peak at the wheels.So somewhere around a loss of 22% of the flywheel horsepower was being lost through the drive train.Tech said anywhere from 20 to 25% is typical.

Decided to install Edelbrock supercharger myself,save myself 1500.00.I'm going to start on it Saturday and hope to have it done by the end of the weekend.I can't get any better than a 11.8 mpg average.How is anybody else getting better mpg.I even lift and drift a lot.Still having problems putting up pictures from my phone.

How in the heck do you put a picture in your profile.I keep tring to add one from my pictures and it keeps saying," file is too big".It is only a picture i downloaded from my phone.If anyone can help me out i would sure appreciate it.

Do you gave to run 93 octane with that supercharger? Id like it to but hate to fill up with 93 all the time. I'm pretty sure you will have to use the higher octane all the time.That is what the Edlebrock Tech guy told me when i talked with him before i place my order.I'm going to use my truck for a weekend venicle.I have a beater that sips gas that i drive the rest of the time Are you planning on installing the supercharger yourself? If so, let us know what challenges you faced. Edelbrock offers two warranties to cover any motor or trans damage from installing the supercharger,but it has to be installed by an ASE certified mechicanic or GM Dealer or Authorized Edelbrock installer,so i'm not going to do it myself.The Edelbrock Certified shop in my area want 1500.00 to install it.Then he wants another 650.00 to tune it over and above the tune that comes with it,and this will void the warranty.He tells me he can get 35 to 45 more horsepower at the wheels with his custom tune.I think i'm just going to have him install it with the provided tune and drive it that way for a while.I don't want him to put a tune on it that puts it on the ragged edge of breaking ring lands off of pistons if i get some bad gas.It will be delivered tomorrow.I have a question on downloading pictures to this site.What is the best way? I have been struggling to post pictures,i'm not sure if pix of my truck are even viewable,can you see the one i put up? I can't !!!!

This is the latest picture of my recently purchased GMC Sierra SLT. A neat little thing the previous owner did was,he put stainless steal 6.2 emblems next to the Sierra emblems on the doors and tailgate.I'll post a close up picture of that soon.

Just ordered my Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger from Jegs.Edelbrock hasn't even started shipping them yet.ETA is June 28.Can't wait to give that L9H about 7lbs of boost.The kit comes with a 3.750 diameter pully,every .250 decrease in pulley diameter gives 2 more pounds of boost.Since the injectors are able to flow E85, the injectors along with the fuel pump are more than up for the job of providing plenty of 93 octane.

Yes i do have the NHT-Max Trailering Package along with PDD-SLT CONVENIENCE PACKAGE, PCP-MOCHA STEEL METALLIC EDITION Which give you, MOCHA STEEL METALLIC PAINT,CHROME MIRROR CAPS AND DOOR HANDLES ,VXJ-3" TUBULAR CHROMED ASSIST STEPS, UVC-REAR VISION CAMERA SYSTEM, VAT-CHROME GRILL ,A48-POWER REAR SLIDING WINDOW, JL1-INTERGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER AND NZZ-SKID PLATE PACKAGE.This is one nice,powerful,well kept truck.There is only 7850 on the odometer.I scored this thing for 28,500.00. Does anybody think this was a good deal? I'll post some more pictures when the rain stops

Finally i made it on here.Hello everybody i started reading from the begining and had to get on here but it took me a while.Anyway i just bought a 2011 GMC Sierra SLT extended cab with the 6.2L with 3.73 rear.I test drove it on Friday and I'm picking it up today.I bought it from a guy in my state of Maryland of off ebay.Only has 7800 miles on it and it is in excellent condition.The previous owner put the Magnaflow muffler on it with custom stainless pipes from the cat on out,.i'm not sure why he just didn't get complete kit,but it sounds good.Can't sleep just waiting to go pick it up in 12 hours. I haven't had a decent vehicle in 30 plus years,but thanks to my divorce it's time to have some fun,yee haw.I'm going for the Edelbrock E-force supercharger in about a month,should really get this truck rolling.Edelbrock claims 515hp with 545lbs of torque at the flywheel,I figure it will be worth the 7k to buy and put it on.Has anybody installed one of these on this 6.2L motor? What does NHT mean?
