  1. 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. I want to replace my low and high beam bulbs, with LED bulbs, and was about to order these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B93KP4CF/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_1?smid=A298MPJAFJ2R5R&psc=1 and technically they will work on my truck, but a couple reviews I saw, the back of the housing had to be cut out and whatnot, so hoping to avoid doing that, unless I have no choice. Thanks in advance!
  2. Damn.....that is a bummer that they won't ship there. How weird.
  3. No it did not. I even called them, and they said it doesn't. A brand that 'seems' to get good reviews, is Kool Vue. Pretty comparable with Dorman, on price, and it has dimming. This place has them https://www.carparts.com/mirror-glass/kool-vue/cv49gl-s?&vehicle[cylinders]=8&vehicle[liter]=5.3&vehicle[submodel]=SLT&vehicle[model]=Sierra_1500&vehicle[make]=GMC&vehicle[year]=2006 and slightly cheaper on Ebay, but said out of stock https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-Dimming-Heat-Turn-Signal-Left-Driver-Mirror-Glass-for-Silverado-88944391/232950640976?epid=84001754&hash=item363cf0b150:g:PJYAAOSwxVFftRrN I messaged them, and they said they have it in the warehouse, and they would update Ebay in the next day or so. It's the same company. I can't bring myself to spend $300= on an OEM one.
  4. Yeah, good idea. Dorman is one, and Kool View is another I found. I have no idea. I don't have to do it immediately, so I'll watch Ebay and see if I get lucky on a used OEM one.
  5. Thanks for the reply, and it makes the most sense that it would work that way. There are cheap mirrors that aren't heated, and no turn signal.....all the way up to turn signal, heated, and auto dimming, so wanted to make sure I got the same mirror. Probably go mid range aftermarket, as the OEM ones are outrgaeous.
  6. Hello, My side view mirror on my '06 Sierra 1500 SLT, is getting this yellowish haze, and needs to be replaced. Mine has the turn signal and is heated, so that part I know, but some of them have auto dimming, and I seriously don't know if my truck has it. I know that my rear view mirror has it, and there is a switch right on the mirror, but the manual says if my truck has the auto dimming feature for the outside mirror, the feature is controlled by the on/off switch on the electrochromic mirror, so I'm assuming that means the switch on the rear view mirror controls both?? Thanks in advance.
  7. I need to replace my driver side mirror glass, as it's getting this weird golden haze to it. Anyway, looks easy to remove, but I see a fair amount of reviews that say they get distorted mirrors, and not as solidly built, etc. But the OEM ones are in the $300 range, and that's just for the glass. I see Dorman makes a replacement for about 150, but wonder if it's the happy medium. The GM one is part # 88944391 Anyone have any suggestions, or can recommend a good aftermarket brand? Thanks, in advance!
