    we put that starter in my 2014 a week after i got it, no problems since. that is the fix for the no crank no start. you should be good to go now ! enjoy !

    check my posts for the updated starter # there is a non public S.I. buliten dealers cant see unless they have there service tech call in for assistance. this is the starter we ordered for my truck. new starter pt # 12655055

    you need to tell them to have there tech to call GM tech line, there is a problem.... the mexican starters !!!! they gave me a completly different part # for a starter to corect the problem ! take this to your dealer.... here is the new starter pt # 12655055 dont let them order another one from the parts catalog or you will get the same thing. i work for a chevy dealer, i have a 2014 silverado that had the same problem. i'm the parts manager for cambe chevrolet. the new starter has worked every time. good luck with yours.

    this is only on 2014 new style silverados. most of them were built on or before 12/1/2013

    tell your dealer to call gm tach, and they will give your tech a different pt# for a different starter. i posted the new starter # and picture a few weeks ago, no problems since the swap. i work for a chevy dealer and i was just as pissed off as any of you guys, but this fix works !! DO NOT ORDER THE STARTER LISTED IN THE PARTS CATALOG !! you will get the same thing as what you have now. good luck with it. ray

    this is the starter i took off my 2014 silverado, gm tech had me order a differend starter i will plst a picture of the new style.

    the starter that gm tech line told us to order came in friday, let it sit out side overnight and it did start right up saturday morning. i will try it again monday when i get to work. i will post the new part # monday if again starts right up. this is a totaly different starter, made by a different vender. hope this is the problem.....

    LOL..... i still dont have a loaner truck, & i work for the dealer ! wait till they get my how was your experiance card back ! they sold my trade in in 2 days so i cant drive that.

    well guys still no fix, my 2014 silverado was towed in for the 2nd time in 6 days my service dept tech found one of the battery grounds going to the frame had undercoat under the cable, cleaned that off & it started right up. drove it home, the next morning well you guessed it, no start no crank. the gm smart guys gave us a part # for a completly different starter,i should have this part by friday. if this works i will post the pt# for this new & improved starter. kinda bad when you work for a chevy dealer & your new truck keeps being towed to work every day !
