  1. Well I finally fixed my vibration problem. I got sick of dealing with GM and the dealership and I couldn't stand driving it on the highway. So, I went and bought a 2015 Ford F150. I can say the interior of the GM is nicer, but the ride and drive, Ford has it. I also got the Ecoboost 3.5 and it is quick. I think it is quicker than my GM and My GM had 6.2L with 3.37 rear end. So far I think I made the right choice.
  2. Anyone with a lift have any trouble with alignment? I have had to have mine aligned 4x in less than 2000 miles. I do not do any off roading. Just normal driving. In have a 4 inch BDS lift with 295/65/r20"s. So I don't have anything crazy. Any suggestions would be great.
  3. I run 1.5 inch wheel spacers on the rear of my 2014. I did it to match the front. I have a 4 inch BDS lift and the lift moves the front out 1.78 inches. I have not had any issues with the spacers, but again they are only on the rear.
  4. I saw this video, but I don't know what I am looking at. What was I suppose to see?
  5. Well, I need some help. I have been following this topic for awhile now but never posted. Now I could really use some advice. I have a 2014 Silverado crew cab with the 6.2l and 3.73 rear end. I am also getting the vibration in the truck at about 70 miles an hr. It's not a little vibration either. The problem is I have a 4 inch BDS lift on it. I have had it at a dealer for 2 weeks now and they have checked everything they could. Put a drive shaft on from another vehicle, checked the ring gear in the rear, even swapped tires from a stock truck and put them on. It rode even worse with the stock tires. Now they are at a dead end. They obviously verified the vibration, but could not find the problem. Today they called GM. GM basicaly said they couldn't help because it had a lift on it. They said they can't measure certain things because of the lift. The dealer said I could remove the entire lift and then check it again. That's not really an option for me, especially since I don't have stock wheels anymore. I guess I am getting frustrated because I read page after page of this and most of the complains are on stock trucks. If anyone has any advice it would it would be great. I have a $50000 truck that I can't stand to drive anymore because of the vibration. By the way I only have 3900 miles on it and the vibration started before I put the lift on. I just figured a tire or something was out of balance and didn't worry about it cause I was putting new wheels and tires on it. Please any help would be great. I should have never traded my Ford on this truck.
  6. I had someone ask me for an opinion about my lift, wheels, and tires so I thought i would also share it with everone else also. I have a 4 inch BDS lift with the Fox rear springs. The wheels are Fuel Maverick 20x9 with 5.75 back spacing. The tires are Toyo Open Country AT2's 295/60r/20. I really like the lift and the stance of the truck. Just be aware if you go with the BDS the front wheels sit out about 1.7 inches farther than the back wheels. I ended up getting 1.5 inch wheel spacers for the rear to make it look more even. I am kinda anal so it was driving me nuts that they looked different. Also if you get wheels that are NOT HUB CENTRIC, make sure you get rings to fill the gap. If you don't your truck may be prone to vibrate. That brings me to my only complaint. My truck has a vibration that I can't seem to get rid of. I have even had my wheels and tires balanced 4x. Still there, so I am starting to get really frustrated. As for the ride, other than the vibration, it's not bad. It will be stiffer than stock and you will bounce around a little more. Anyone that says you won't is full of it. If I had to do it again I think I would have went with 35 inch tires. The tires I have measure 34 inches. I went with that size so that I wouldn't have any rubbing issues. The problem is the tires are rated for about 3100 lbs and have a stiffer sidewall. They can run up to 80 lbs of pressure, I run 39. The 35 inch tires are rated for less and only run up to 65 lbs, so I think they may actually ride a little better. Actually if I could sell my tires I would and get 35's, even if I had to trim a little. I hope that helps a little.
  7. No I'm not sure it's the tires, but I don't know what to try next. If it's something with the truck I feel the dealer is just gonna blame it on the lift. Also I don't remember it doing it before I put the lift on. I drove it almost 1600 miles before I lifted it. Has anyone found an answer to what it is?
  8. I have Toyo open country AT2's and my truck is doing the same thing. It's driving me nuts. Sometimes it vibrates like crazy. Usually around 45 and then at 70 and above. I have had my tires balaced 3 times. I have a BDS 4 inch lift. If you come up with anything let me know. I have aftermarket Fuel wheels that are not hub centric, so I have a set of rings on order to fill that gap between the hub and the wheel. We'll see if that helps.
  9. I honestly don't know. I think they may, but I can't say for sure.
  10. I can tell you I have a 7 foot garage and I have about 4" of room left, but I only have a 4" BDS lift and 34" tires. I should have went with 35's. Anyone want a new set of Toyo 295/60/20 Open Country AT2 Extreme's?
  11. I just ordered spacers for the rear. I'll let you know how they work out. They should be here weds.
  12. I don't know about a pull, but I have a vibration they can't get rid of after I put on Toyo Open Country. It's driving me nuts. I have had the tires balanced 2 times with a speed balancer. Now I'm gonna try a load force balancer. I hope that works cause I don't even like driving it right now.
  13. Yes, the point of the picture was to show the difference between the front and rear with a BDS kit. I am now trying to decide if I should put some 1.25" spacers in the rear. I don't really know that much about spacers for the rear of a truck. If anyone has any suggestions or opinions that would be great. Also my wheels are 20x9 with 5.75" backspacing. That's equivelent to +18 to +20.
  14. Sorry it took so long to get pics of the offset.
  15. Yeah he's from California. I spoke with him before I did my truck. He's a good guy.
  16. I can speak from experience because I was worried about the same thing. My garage measured 6'11" and I have almost 3 inches of clearance.
  17. Silverado LTZ with 6.2 and 3.73 rear end. BDS 4 inch lift with 295/60/20 Toyo open country AT2 Extreme's on Fuel Maverick wheels. Still rides great and has no rubbing issues and no trimming.
  18. This is making me mad. Sorry guys, I hit more options, choose file, then attach file and it says it's too big. I am only using one photo from my phone. I'm sorry again I don't mean to be difficult.
  19. Ok I downloaded taptalk and I don't even see that as an icon. I see other icons like twitter and stuff. So I'm lost. Ok I downloaded taptalk and I don't even see that as an icon. I see other icons like twitter and stuff. So I'm lost.
  20. Youtr truck looks great. I just got mine finished. I have a BDS 4 inch lift with 295/60/20 Toyo Open Country AT2 Extreme's on 20 inch Fuel Maverick wheels. It looks and rides great. I didn't have to do any triming cause the tires measure 33.9 inches tall. I want to post some pics but I don't know how to get my pics from my Iphone to the computer or how to upload them from there. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
  21. I just drove my 6.2 with 3.73 rear end from Ohio to Myrtle beach. I can't believe how quiet this truck is. I found myself going about 85 on numerous occasions without even knowing it. I averaged 19.6 MPG. That is also driving through the mountain in WV. So much better than what I got on my Raptor 2 years ago and it's faster. I just ordered a BDS 4 inch lift, Fuel wheels and 295/60r/20 Toyo Open Country AT2's. Can't wait to get home and put it on.
