  1. From the album: 2014 Silverado Z71 Crew Audio System Upgrade

Decided if I was going to have the door panels off I might as well do some sound deadening. The Fat Mat was a deal, so in it will go!
  2. From the album: 2014 Silverado Z71 Crew Audio System Upgrade

Going to try running the sub at Bridged 2 Ohm (its a Dual 4 Ohm sub) on the T400-2. It's rated at 2 Ohms Bridged, but I can't find anyone trying this. If not, I can always switch and run each voice coil on one channel at 4 Ohms stereo.
  3. From the album: 2014 Silverado Z71 Crew Audio System Upgrade

Got the Amps mocked up and wired for the speakers. Using 14 gauge for the doors and 12 gauge for the sub. Just waiting on the sub box, door speakers, and power wire kit to finish up!
  4. I did a custom 3" single exit, and used a Magna Flow muffler. We dumped it just over the axle. It sounds great in my opinion, and is not loud. Here is a video of it while driving:

    LC6i wires

Got the wires all cut and labeled to run signal from the radio back to the LC6i under the seat. I'm going to run the signal wires down the driver's side, and then run the 1/0 gauge power wire down the passenger's side. Running Lightning Audio power, ground, and RCA cables. 150 AMP fuse under the hood, and 2-60 AMP fuses behind the seat feeding the 4 gauge for the amplifiers. More pics on the way...

The hardest part is getting the boot out. It's really tight in the door jamb. The rear door boot goes through the B pillar, so it is pretty easy to get out and the wire run, When I did the passenger's side it was much easier, but it could just be my imagination.

This was probably the hardest part of the upgrade so far. Those factory boots can be a pain. I unplugged the factory connector, and ran the wires through the harness. Really clean, and protects the wires to the max.
  8. From the album: 2014 Silverado Z71 Crew Audio System Upgrade

Gotta keep them clean, and way away from the power wires! All power will be run under the truck and attached to the frame. Will be using wire loom to keep it clean and protected.

Run under the carpet, and then down the driver's side to the dash. There is a nice little brace in the center of the front floor board that has a plastic cover. It worked great to run the signal wires up through the dash.

Mocking up the amp placement under the passenger's side back seat. The sub box will go under the driver's side.

    LC6i wires

From the album: 2014 Silverado Z71 Crew Audio System Upgrade

Got the source wires all made and ready to run the signal from the factory radio to the LC6i. going to bundle them together and run them down the driver's side channel. Went ahead and soldered the power and ground wires. They will go straight to the battery.
  12. From the album: 2014 Silverado Z71

Blacked out the headlight bezels, bowties, and badges
