  1. Yes. I was a fool to think I could trust a company basically run by the government. I will never buy GM again. Gotta run, I have a doctor's appointment for the unending headache and dizziness caused by this vehicle.
  2. Here's the deal: 3 of the 3 were stuffed with a material like a foam ear plug. The one in the rear was falling out and lead to the ear pressure again. The two in front were secure still. I have since taken them all out. Seriously, $80k. F this. Taking to dealer again tomorrow. Here are some pics as requested:
  3. The pressure is back. I'm done. Again.
  4. After driving with the 3 mics plugged for about a day now, I would definitely say the ear pressure is no longer present. Having said that, the vehicle does make some very loud noise in the cabin as you accelerate. It is a really weird sound which hard to describe. It is disproportionately loud. Not an exhaust or "throaty" sounds. Most noticeable around 28-34 mph. The noise is only present when you accelerate and goes away once you get to your desired speed and does not come back as you slow down. Only when you hit the gas...like some gears are louder than others. Anyone else getting a noise with the mics plugged? At the end of the day, the noise is far more tolerable than the pressure in my ears.
  5. Will do. I asked them to use cotton balls or some other form of cotton. They thought the foam would work better. After the initial drive, I am giddy to drive it again. This whole "job" thing just gets in the way...
  6. ***UPDATE*** Ok, you guys are definitely on to something with the ANC mics! I had the dealer stuff foam insulation into all 3 mics without disabling the ANC. For the first time since owning either my first Denali (GM repurchased) or my new 2015i Denali, my ears did not pop! I did not feel the pressure which I normally feel. I can't believe it. This is based on one 30 minute drive at varied speeds leaving the dealership. I will keep you posted as I get more windshield time this week. I am glad to have so many smart friends on this site! Nice work, All!
  7. I did not get an invoice from my first visit...which now raises a red flag for me. He disconnected the one on the passenger side near the door handle. The dealer told me disconnecting a single mic will disable the entire ANC system. Perhaps like a circuit? Like a pulling a single light off a strand off Christmas lights... Would you recommend I ask him to disconnect all three? I am confident they will do it...just takes a few minutes to do. I appreciate your help! It appears the folks from GM who monitor this site occasionally can care less about this issue.
  8. Congrats CCamp on the new ride! **Update** Quick summary: had GM disconnect the ANC and noticed the issue (ear pressure) at lower speeds and had them reconnect the ANC on Tuesday. I swear, the same old ear popping had on my first one (re-purchased by GM) is now back. Upon further review, I am going back to the dealer next week to have him disable the ANC again. After comparing the two (with and without ANC), I would have to say it was better with it disabled. I would love to just drive my $79k (MSRP) truck down the road without my head pounding and ears popping. Shame GMC for not testing the vehicle better...and even more shame on me for giving them a second chance. My next vehicle will not be made by GM.
  9. Well, after a 10 minute drive at a slow speed (less than 40), my ears were driving me nuts with the pressure!!! I called the dealer to reconnect whatever they disconnected on the passenger side for Monday. This made the situation much, much worse. Disconnecting that mic certainly was not the answer for my ride. 100%. I give you guys a ton of credit for trying to come up with ideas. I am hopeful I can help. Is there any speed you want me to focus on while I still have it disconnected for your research? I can tell you with absolute certainty the ANC is needed at the slower speeds. I feel like I just got done SCUBA diving. I am still trying to un-pop my ears as I type this.
  10. Officially driving the vehicle with a disabled ANC. The mic on the passenger side was disconnected, thus disabling the ANC. To be honest, it may help the booming ever so slightly. Negligible at best. The ride is very quiet in 8 cylinder mode...I would say an improvement. Not so much in 4 cylinder mode. That's why I think it's only a slight (at best) improvement. They kind of wash each other out. Keep in mind I drove it for only a half hour at varied speeds, and it's just one guy's early opinion... I think the ride would be just fine if it did not go back and forth from 8 to 4 cylinders. Considering the vehicle does that frequently, and I still noticed the sound prominently every time it made the switch, I can definitively say disabling the ANC does not help...In my opinion. I will keep paying attention to it over the next week or so.
  11. Spoke to the tech this evening and he said he was able to disable the ANC without getting any warning alerts on the dash/screen. The truck was not ready for pick up today so I will let you guys know if it feels or sounds any different tomorrow afternoon. I sure hope so. I really can't believe I'm dealing with this nonsense again. $79k... Unrelated, to this thread, but related if you own a 2015, there is a new software download available for the intelilink...my iPod never works right in my truck. Not sure what updates are on it, just sharing updates.
  12. Disabling one of the three now, he's not sure if it will turn the other ones off too. Also, he doesn't think a warning message will appear. Thanks for doing so much leg work, guys. Hope to know something today...
  13. Hi All, Well, after driving my new (second one) 2015i Denali for a few weeks (but never on the highway), I noticed the familiar sound and feel of my first one...So disappointed. Anyway, the truck is in the shop today and the tech is disabling the ANC. He thought I was nuts, but I told him about some of you on this thread and I would rather him do than me. Will keep you all posted. Again.
  14. Don't do it! They did it to my first one and it did not resolve a thing...I don't think it worked for anyone.
  15. Amen. That was my biggest stress with ordering another. Hope is not a strategy, indeed. They definitely fixed something...
  16. UPDATE: Hi All, Well, the saga has finally come to an end (knock on wood). After getting my money back on the first one due to ear pressure and dizziness, I picked up my new order today and it is PERFECT! It is like driving two completely differently designed vehicles. I am telling you, I knew it was going to be better the moment I closed the door on the test drive before buying today. The truck felt less rigid than the first one I owned. Only my two cents, but I know exactly what the pressure and sounds feel like, and I don't think the issue has anything to do with noise cancellation. I am serious, the truck "felt" completely different the moment the door shut...before I even shifted into Drive. I drove it for 30 miles at different speeds and road conditions before officially buying it. I could not replicate the pressure issue...believe me, I tried. I was not going to buy it today if it was present. Thanks to all those who were pulling for me to have a good outcome with the new one I ordered...I will send those same positive vibes towards you in hopes we ALL get a satisfactory solution.
  17. I know GM monitors this thread. Why won't you (GM) chime in with some insight?! Some of us got our money back because of the problem. You would not have given our money back if there was not a problem. Why are you making people pull out fuses trying to resolve this legitimate issue. I bet you will void the warranties of these people trying to fix your troubled 2015 platform. I have tried to remain positive towards GM and remain loyal to the only brand my entire family has ever known--3 generations! I am seriously questioning my judgment in sticking by GM. I have not taken delivery of my $78,000 vehicle on order. Do you really want my business? If so, make us feel like it. What is going on?!
  18. I hope so...my first had 22's and the second one has different 22's from my first order. Thankfully, I am not a serious drinker...
  19. You guys are freaking me out! As you know, I got my money back on the first Denali due to the pressure. I was dizzy and had brutal headaches everyday. It sounded like GMC may have fixed it after the took many back from Prairie, TX and back to Arlington for some reason. So, I decided to try again and my new Denali is on its way as I type. I thought the 2015i had this fixed...
  20. Great news, Fellas. Mine is on it's way. Thanks for the update. Hope my new one will be as perfect as the ones you both recently drove/own. Knock on wood...
  21. Focus less on "noise"...it is barely noticeable. But it is there... It is the pressure in your ears. Believe me, if your truck has the problem you would know it. Not wind, not whistling. It is a pressure which will cause you headaches (and dizziness for me). It was simply terrible. I got all of my money back due to the issue. You don't think GM would give $70k back for simple noise, do you? For those who have this issue, stay on them. Our tax dollars bailed out this company! Remind them. Demand a quality product! Carz24: call GMC customer service immediately. Get a claim number.
  22. Link above is my vehicle. Sold at auction on 11-11-14. Not sure what it means, but GMC is still making money off a vehicle that has issues..... Sad. Heard GM was going to resell my truck too. The truck literally made everyone sick who drove in it. Did you just search your VIN to confirm?
  23. Any news with the shocks? The field engineer tried multiple shocks and road force balancing which they say fixed the problem. Too rigid or too stiff shocks for the frame. See if you can find out about that...Again, I never had a chance to verify it worked myself as they purchased it back before I could drive it again. I sure hope they got it fixed...my 2015i was just built on Wednesday. Please cross your fingers...
  24. What are the recommendation(s) for the fix? I'm just curious...Hope you get a satisfactory resolution one way or the other. Keep us posted.
