  1. You said it, brother. Not good, indeed. I can't believe this issue appears to still exist. My 2015i is set to be built this week... I have been other sites and have specifically asked 2015i owners about the issue at the speeds where the issue is most prevalent and no others have noticed it. I know exactly what to look for and will be certain to drive it before taking the delivery. I will keep you posted. Lucgmc--don't mess around and wait. If you are having the pressure issue with your ears, demand your money back immediately. Get a claim number. Go there, take off your license plates and leave it there. Don't put another mile on it. The issue will lead to headaches and dizziness. Not a safe condition while driving, let alone the health of you and your family.
  2. The way to identify a 2015i for sure is on the list of options for the truck it will say: 2015 INTERIM PROCESSING CODE (Required on all interim models produced starting in October 2014.) (AVF)
  3. Did you get the 2015i?! Please tell us it's not a 2015i...
  4. Hi Eddy, Do you have it yet? If so, please tell me it drives beautifully...and silently.
  5. I just sent you a private message.
  6. That's a lot a pressure, man! I am a former Army captain...l can handle it. Having said that, it may be a while before it arrives. Probably another month or so.
  7. My dealer doesn't have any of the "i's" yet...Yes, we get along well and they want me to drive a 2015i when one comes in. They helped do the right thing with my buy-back and I bought another one from them, so we're good. I promise, I will give a full report as I know exactly what to look for in the new one. I will not accept delivery of the vehicle if the issue is present. I truly believe they know what's going on now...that's why they brought them back to Arlington before they shipped. Some guys already got their 2015i Denali and they said the issue was not there at the speeds most prevalent. That's why I ordered another one...
  8. Oh, sorry for the bad intel. Did not know only the Denali's had the 8 speed. I did know about AVF and forgot to mention...good call. Well, I sure hope they fixed it...I ordered another Denali last month and it looks like it will be built next week. That problem better be solved! My first one was terrible.
  9. Allegedly, yes. They were brought back to the Arlington plant for another quality inspection before shipping. Trucks that were built and ready to ship went back to the Arlington plant from Grand Prarie, TX. I learned this from some of the guys who had their orders delayed. There is some info on it somewhere in this thread: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64433&page=81. There is some good info on the 2015i's on this site. I would not waste your time driving any that were built before 10/6ish/14. Drive the 2015i model. Again, the easiest way to determine this is if it has an 8 speed. Happy hunting!
  10. Love the determination! See if you can spot any of the Yukon 2015i's on a dealer lot...They were built after the first week of October or so, and can be identified with an 8 speed transmission. It may take some time for them to hit the dealer lots yet. I would test drive one of those models...
  11. Hey Matt, I purchased and paid in full at delivery. I am a NYS resident too. The NYS DMV will issue the taxes paid on the vehicle. They have 180 days to pay back.
  12. RJM, Thanks for the update. I have a suspicion it has something to do with the shocks/suspension... They sent ones directly to the proving grounds in an attempt to fix my 2015 Denali. I was sick too...and everyone else who drove in it. Get a claim number from Cadillac Customer service. Don't wait. That may get the ball rolling for a field service engineer to inspect your vehicle and start the process for a resolution. GM did the right thing and refunded me 100% (less taxes). For that, I remained loyal and just ordered a 2015i Yukon Denali. I am confident they have found the solution for their "new" mid-year model. Keep us posted.
  13. Did you get a claim number from GMC customer service? That seemed to help light some sort of fire. Sorry you're going through this...just stinks. Ask your dealer to hunt down an engineer and see if they have any new information from the field.
  14. It's not a humming sound...you feel pressure in your ears and feel sick driving it. Trust me, you would know if yours had the problem by now. Glad yours doesn't have the issue.
  15. The issue is real. Besides the one I owned, I noticed it on a 2015 Yukon on the dealer lot and one 2015 Tahoe rental. GM is giving owners their money back...they would not be doing that if there was an easy fix (or a fix at all). My question is: Has GMC figured out the issue before building the 2015i (mid-year build which just started), or are the "new"/current ones being built with the same flaw? I think that's the question which needs to be answered before buying one.
  16. I'm just outside of Buffalo, NY. My Denali had 22's but they used all different size rims and different tires for the testing of my vehicle. Perhaps you can find out the engineer is based on location. I do not know his name as I never met him. A couple of things I learned: 1. They did the roof service bulletin work and it did not solve the problem. They did notice the sheet metal was not attached, but did not cure the pressure. 2. Changed out shocks and road forced balanced tires and they claimed it did. A particular psi range appeared to help the buffeting. 3. I did not drive the truck after they tried the new settings. I cannot verify it actually worked. I tried to hunt the vehicle down to drive it, but it was off the lot. 4. Please keep mind, I am just reporting what I was told. I am not a mechanic. I never had a chance to verify it worked. I am just hopeful you can use this information to prevent your truck from being torn apart for no reason. See if your dealership can contact some engineers and see if they are documenting what is going on in the field with the shocks. That's all I have...I have emptied my brain on everything I learned. Keep me posted on how it goes out there.
  17. This may help all suffering from the buffeting sound/feel. My truck was with a GM engineer for weeks. I learned today a possible resolution may be replacing the stock shocks and replacing them with NEW/DIFFERENT shocks as well as road force balancing the tires to a particular setting (I am not a car guy and have no idea what that means). Having said that, I did not drive the vehicle to verify it solved the problem (I no longer own it). Before you have your truck torn apart, ask your service manager to contact a field engineer and see if they know which shocks they are now using in their effort to solve the problem. It sounds promising...hope this helps someone.
  18. I am with you. GM returned my money for the 2015 Denali yesterday. I really want to buy another one...I just don't think they know what the problem truly is at this point. They did all of the service bulletin work to it and there was no resolution...hence, getting my money back. Caddy, GMC, and Chevy are all having this same issue. It is a class-effect. I would love to order another one...I am just afraid I may get another one with the same issue.
  19. Call Chevrolet customer service and get a claim number established to help move things along. GM will do the right thing. Just let the process play out.
  20. Ummm. I may be the dumbest guy on the planet...probably the next model year version of the Denali. I love(d) the Denali...just not the one they built for me earlier this year. Not everyone is having the problem. Hopefully the R&D they did to mine can help others and prevent the problem on future vehicles. My previous Denali (traded for the new one) was great. Had it for 11 years and never, ever had a problem. Hoping the next one can live up to my previous expectations. .
  21. GM has begun the process of buying back my 2015 Denali. I commend GM for doing the right thing. For that reason, I will remain loyal the GM brand.
  22. The truck has been torn apart. Still working on it. Thanks for asking about it. I am confident GM will stand behind their product.
