    Thanks for the clarification, I have a '15 2WD Silverado CC SB with the LTZ Z71 package, it has the Rancho Shocks and I have noticed a bit more bounce than it used to have but I have 75k on her at this point. I did find out one thing, at least in my case the bed created a ton of vibes.. once I put a bed cover on it the vibs calmed 90% bet if I put new shocks it would be smooth again

    I Don't see how you can say it was the tires since you replaced the tires and the shocks, have you put the old shocks back on to see if the VIB comes back with the new tires.

    Got my truck back after almost 5 weeks in the GM Shop, they had to replace the Transmission because it sang so bad in over-drive that you had to keep the radio on so you would not hear it.. now the freakin A/C goes out within 2 days of getting it back!! can you believe that? the A/C goes out! 1643 And the damn thing still shakes like a Cheap Hooker at a Frat Party!! All this on a truck with 35,000 miles on it. I feel like a damn fool for buying another 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Do the 2500/3500 models have the same issues?

    So Anthony, you should really talk to the dealership, they are brushing me off again on the tire issues and I have to buy a new tire again because they keep going bad. I took it for a second opinion yesterday and the tire was so badly out of round it would have taken 4oz and 6oz to fix it at Discount Tire.. hell you could see the tire hop in the machine. Don Hewlett Chevrolet (512) 681-3000 They say because I scrub the curb with my tires it is causing them to go out-of-round. I say BS on that. 344

    Wow they replaced the tire?? at 16k I had a tire develop a high spot in the center of the tire and they rotated it to the right rear and it vibed so bad I bought a new one on my dime because the dealer said it was not their issue!!

    Update, today I took it in for an oil change and to have them look at the vibration and suggested they check the u-joint torque. The service manager and I drove around for half-an-hour and he said and I quote.. "Uhh.. you have an issue with the rear-end, sounds like the Ring and Pinion by the whine.. we had had quite a few issues as of late and if the ring is bad it will cause this vibration you have so we are gonna rebuild the rear-end, good thing you have a loaner.. and btw.. we are gonna re-check the tires too and shocks and struts as well" Sounds like they are at least taking it all seriously. Will update when I learn more.

    I should mention, it is a 2wd, I do tow a trailer once or twice a year and do not do heady duty off-road. I only bought the Z71 package for the looks not for 4wd

    Ok guys here is an odd one, when I bought my 2015 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab Z71 with 18" wheels it rode like butter and smooth as silk. Now at 28,000 miles it rides like a tank and has a fairly good shake that I can't get rid of. Do you think it is the U-Joints?

    I don't understand what "shimming" a motor mount would accomplish? I can buy the driveshaft and radial force variance but the motor mount throws me. Can you explain how that would make any difference?

    Actually yes well kinda sorta no. When I bought the truck it had 37psi all the way around, during the last rotations (and there have been a few) when they RFB'd the truck they dropped it back to 35 all the way around so I had it bumped back up to 37. I know it sounds a bit broken but that is what I did.

    It has been a long time since I replied to this issue, i had a 2014 Silverado Z71 2WD CC 5.3 Short-bed 3.42 with Goodyear Wrangler 18" tires that shook like a hooker on prom night. Traded it in on a 2015 Silverado Z71 2WD CC 5.3 Short-bed 3.42 with Goodyear Wrangler 18" tires, had absolutely NO shakes when I bought it, at 12k it developed a shake and I had my dealership RFB the tires, they said they could not RFB one of them due to out of round and rotated it back to the passenger rear, now first of all if you have a bad tire due to out of round you do NOT leave it on the truck! it is defective! it should be replaced! do you hear me GM?? I took it to Discount Tire and they replaced the tire for free, world of difference but it still vibes a bit. I tried something.. when I first bought the truck it had 37psi all the way around so I took it back to Discount and had them put 37psi all the way around. ZERO VIBES!!! WTH? this makes no sense but it worked in this case, does it relieve some of the pressure off of the sidewalls? who knows or maybe it just makes the suspension work the way it is designed but in this case I am quite happy now. Try changing your air pressure and see if that helps.

    The Z71, either 4x4 or 2wd is gonna be stiff.. it is a 4WD suspension and designed to be driven off-road.

    Just an odd question, has anyone taken into account the towing package gear ratios? on my old 2014 Silverado 1500 "Yes this thing drove me nuts" it had 3.42 on a 2wd 5.3 6sp auto. shook like crazy even after replacing the driveshaft and front pinon. My new one has odd shakes from time to time "traded in the 2014" for a 2015 Silverado 1500, 2wd 5.3 6sp auto 3.42 but nothing like the old one and I can live with them. Can it be something with the way they installed the towing package?

    I agree with the tire suggestion, I have never been a fan of Goodyear tires and think they are crap from my experiences using them but the dealership will not change them out and keep putting me off on changing the tires.. I have had my truck in the shop 7 times dealing with the issue, they have changed the Driveshaft and Pinion so I am going to wait until I get it back this time to talk to GM about filing a LEMON complaint about the truck.

    hmm.. it looks as though we are all having the same issues, I have a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab LTZ LT1 2WD 5.3 L with 18" wheels and it has vibrated since I bought it. and when it is wet outside it will spin the tires just cracking the throttle.. they say it is normal but the 20" texas edition does not do it so I suspect the 18" wheels are too small for the drivetrain. They have replaced the driveshaft, and rear pinion. I have driven the trucks with the 20's and they seem to ride much smoother, mine rides okay up to about 80mph and then starts to shake pretty good, at 85 it is really noticable and at 90 will just about knock you out of your seat.. mind you I drive an 85mph toll-road here in Austin, TX. I think Chevrolet owes me a set of wheels and tires since I bought a $46,000.00 truck with these issues.
