  1. I ordered a 03 Escalade instrument cluster and realized it has a cracked lens. Is there any way to separate the lens from the bezel? I can just remove the lens and bezel from the cluster that is in my truck now, but I would like to keep the Escalade bezel with the chrome surrounds as opposed to the silverado one that is in my truck. Is it affixed with glue?
  2. I am researching what all is needed to swap the steering wheel in my 03 2500HD with a steering wheel with the audio and DIC controls. Have not been able to find a concrete answer to what clockspring I need exactly. From what I have read, the HD models have a clockspring with 1 plug for the airbag, but I have also read that I need the 2 plug for the audio controls. This is pretty confusing to me. It is my understanding that the HD models have a single stage airbag, and the non-HD models have a dual stage airbag control, but don't I need the dual plug spring for audio and DIC controls? Will I get the 2 plug and only use one of them? Any help would be appreciated. Also, I read that to get the audio controls to work it would need a flash from the dealer. That's fine, but I also read that to get DIC It would also need the flash because of my gauge cluster. I have an Escalade cluster ordered, would DIC work with just a cluster that apparently supports it already or would I still need the flash? (I understand that regardless I need the flash for audio controls)
  3. I just did a console swap in my 03 2500HD. It has the sub built in and I assume also has the amp. Would it be possible to enable the amp for use only to power the sub? If it in fact doesn't have an amp somehow (I guess if maybe the junk yard removed it) would I gain ANY decent sound by hooking the sub itself to my 50x4 aftermarket head unit? If either of these things were possible, what wires would I have to locate and tie into either power or my subwoofer output on my head unit? Not looking for life-altering sound, just maybe a little more fullness. I would also rather not remove the console again if I can help it as I just put it in.
