  1. Well I changed the sender and I cleaned the shit out of the filter it was so clogged i couldn't see through it and I changed the oil and filter at the same time. The thing runs good and has way better oil pressure then before now runs over 40 while moving and 25 idle Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  2. I agree I looked and it was still hooked up I'm gonna just swap the sensor and pull the screen out and clean it really well and see how that goes Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  3. Ok well on the test run ran way better but then my oil pressure dropped to 0 and said shut engine off. I shut it off and let it sit and started it again and it did it again so I putted home and listen for any engine noise and there was none is there a second location for oil pressure senser. I know about the one right on the back side of the intake Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah it's definitely will bring her I'm down to about a court every week and a half or at least that's what my wife tells me when she puts it in I don't know if it was shipped from the factory I'm going to put all new plugs in it tonight and might as well do compression test while I have them all out I'll let you know how it goes Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  5. Here's the first three passenger side plugs closest is the front So far third from the front on the passenger side is the most messed up it looks to be missing a small chip Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  6. No the checker just checks spark at the end of the plug wire. The plugs are pretty new like maybe 4k or 5k. What will a compression test tell me? I called a local mechanic and he said he'd guess the circuit under the intake but he was guessing over the phone. I can get back out there and do a comp test if it'll help diagnose the issue Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  7. Heres a picture of the spark tester I used Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  8. Hi all I have a 2007 Suburban ltz it has the 5.3 at 200,000 miles on it. So far it eat oil like no other and I had to replace the lifters once at 180k. It ran good for 20k miles after I did the all new lifters untill Sunday when it started misfiring bad and the check engine light can on with the traction control and stabilitrac which is exactly what it did when the AFM lifter went out last time. As of now I have pulled the valve covers and watched all the rockers move when turning the motor over and they all seem to be good I went over them all a few times watching them to be sure then I put it all back together and checked spark at every spark plug. Where else should I be looking? Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  9. Hey all I'm getting ready to change out the stuck afm lift on my 5.3 I have a few questions 1 do I need to soak the new lifters over night? 2 how do I adjust them once they are back in the rig And does any one know where to or have the torque specs and procedures for this motor?
  10. Just an update I took it to a local shop and I have no compression in 1 of my pass side cylinders mechanic says my afm lifters stuck
  11. Hi all I have a 2007 suburban Ltd it has 164k on it I just replaced the oil pressure sensor a week ago and have been driving it since and everything was fine today I went to the store and it started running bad and flashing check engine light so I stopped at oriellys and had them plug it in and it said 300 misfire. so what can I do it's my only rig and I need it now. Is there any common causes of this
  12. I'll look those up as soon as I get done with my scout 800 and also I have been having issues with the ac it blinks and won't go on I read up on it and thought the batt was bad cause it will die in like 5 min with the radio on so I just put a new one in and still no go so do I have a leak in my ac system and should I try the recharge kits at AutoZone or something
  13. It's a 2007 and I have done regular oil changes since I've owned it (110k-148k) I'm gonna do plugs next and no it's a completely stock rig and its an ltz if that makes any diff
  14. Hi all I'm back well iv got a couple new questions first off thanks for all the help with the sway bar and now I have a little hesitation when I give it the gas it only for a half a second it almost feels like a miss but just for a min and it not right when I hit the gas it's a half second later and the other question is every once in a while I can here my fuel pump and its getting louder I can't always hear it but I can some times should I be worried? I am leaving on a + day camping trip on the 27th so I would like to know is I need to sweat about the fuel pump or not I don't have extra money so just replacing a 300 dollar pump is not something g I wanna do
  15. Great new guys I broke the sway bar end link Idk how I didn't see that before when I was under there that k you all Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
