GMGUY0715 posted a topic in 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado & GMC SierraThis truck is at Matthews Auto in Vestal, NY and it is a good deal. It does have the standard bed not the short bed. If interested call and ask for my buddy Paul Tierno Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have had my truck a month and already have a chip in the paint on the front end. I can only imagine how bad the painted front bumper will look after the winter months. I have been considering having a clear bra sprayed on but I have never done this before. Does it really protect the paint from chipping? Does it start to peel and look terrible after a couple years? Maybe a clear bra isn't the answer and I should cover the bumpers with something else when winter time rolls around. I don't have any experience with this so any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I apologize for the pictures being different angles. I have no idea how I did that. I took these few pictures at the Stealership because we were hitting showers on the way down and I knew it wouldn't stay this clean for long. I apologize for the pictures being different angles. Here she is! I fell in love with the Crimson Red paint and then even deeper in love with the 6.2 mated to the 8 speed tranny. This truck rides even better than my 15'SLT did and I thought that had a great ride. I want to thank everyone who offered their input and information. You guys and the wealth of information on this forum really helped me while I was shopping around.
I also never had lower back pain from a seat in a vehicle until I got my 2015 Sierra. I found that having the lumbar support fully extended was the only cure and I have never used the lumbar support in any of my previous vehicle. Thanks for the info on the 6.2. I am picking mine up on Friday.
I am also a little concerned about the new tranny. I bought a new Escalade in 2007 and GM made me jump through hoops before they would let the dealer tear the tranny apart. They ended up replacing the torque converter.
Wow you got the deal to top all deals. My local dealers said they couldn't even come close to the deal I am getting on the Denali. The dealers in my area just don't seem to want to budge beyond whatever incentives GM is offering at the time. I was considering an SLT similar to the one I have and that was only $2k cheaper.
I feel like I am always flooring the 5.3 just to get it moving, especially when passing on the highway. I am looking forward to the increased power but was wondering just how much more fuel I will be using. Do you run 87 or 91 Octane? I have read on here in a few places that you have to run at least 91 in the 6.2. Thanks for your input and the information. I really appreciate it! I wanted to pick my truck up today but the family business doesn't allow me much time during the week so I had to put it off till Friday. Gotta love self employment!
I can't get away from the family business to pick up my truck tomorrow so I put it off until Friday. So if anyone has time to try for a PO until then, I would really appreciate any and all efforts. Thank you!
I appreciate your efforts Rock and groundtrooper! I have always been able to get them before for myself and a few family members but nothing this month. I don't know if these are regional from month-to-month. I live in Northeast Pennsylvania and it seems like people who live south of me are having better luck this month.
I put a deposit down on a Sierra and I am picking it up Tuesday late afternoon. I have been trying for a Private Offer all month from any device I could get my hands on and haven't had any luck. I have tried all the tricks and tips I could find. I promise after I get my truck to pay it forward by trying to help someone else get one. I will also pay for it if need be.
It stickers for 58,800. Dealer came down to 47,800 and then I have 1,085 in GM card earnings and 500 farm bureau discount. Truck had 177 miles on it. I think they took it to the Philly Auto Show. Wish it didn't have the few miles but for the price I really shouldn't be complaining. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.
I am trading a 2015 SLT Crew with 19K miles and I found a dealer a couple hours away with a 2016 Denali with the 6.2. They are giving me $36K for my trade, which is $1,000 more than any of my local dealers. The new truck stickers for $58,800 and the dealer gave $10,912 off sticker plus I have $1,085 in GM card earnings and a $500 Farm Bureau discount. Wish I had a Private Offer to throw in there too. This is the best deal I have been able to work without selling my truck out right (huge pain in the ass) and going out to Laura to buy a truck. Thinking about jumping on it. I would really like that 6.2. What does everyone think? I know I have only had my 2015 for 13 months but I trade often. I don't keep them more than 18-24 months.
