  1. 14x4, just curious if this issue ever recurred after you cleaned up the ground connection? I am having the same issue with my truck and the dealer is saying they re-seated the connectors and cleaned up the ground and there is no voltage drop showing on the test points specified by GM Technical Assistance Center. I am skeptical, but was curious to see if things are still working ok for you. Thanks, Nick
  2. Thanks for the instructions. Installed this with no problems. I went with the double click for unlock and it works perfectly.
  3. Thanks. I had looked before and $120 was the cheapest I found, but after your post I searched again and found one for $60. I guess that will have to do. I only paid $80 for the plate and ports, so I guess it is still better that the full unit from other sellers.
  4. I completed the console swap today. Thanks to everyone who has posted in this thread for helping out. Everything is wired and functioning with the exception of the front USB ports. I will work on that soon. I ended up using parts of the harness that came with the console to make it a cleaner install. That worked out perfectly. The only issue that I ran into is that my console plate did not include the cupholder . I bought most parts from GM Parts Direct, but bought the plate from eBay because a seller had a brand new one with the ports for $85 an it was the right color. I didn't realize it was supposed to include the cupholder. If I order one separately, it looks like they are $120. I'm not too happy about that. Putting that aside, I really like it. It fits perfectly and looks fantastic.
  5. How much is everyone spending on this upgrade? If I read everything correctly, I only need the following two parts and I should be good: Steering wheel with heated wheel button (about $150) New clock spring that includes heated wheel wiring (about $150) So for about $300 I could add a heated wheel? How hard is it to remove a steering wheel with an airbag in it? Thanks, Nick
  6. I apologize if this have been covered, but after reading so many posts on the topic, I want to make sure I fully understand what is and is not functioning after the swap. If I understand correctly: Everything inside the console fully functions with the connectors/harness that is used for the old jump seat console. Do the connectors/outlets on the back of the console function? If not, can they become operational with a modification? The front usb ports can be used for charging with a modification The front 12V outlets can be used, but require you to tap into a 12V source. Has anyone gotten the 110V outlet to function? Thanks in advance for the help. I just purchased a 2014 Silverado 2LT 4x4 Friday, and this is one of few missing items I wish it had (but the price was too good to pass up). Nick
