  1. I would pass on option 4. My 14 and 16 Ram Limited was bought back by FCA. You would be trading 1 problem for another. Ram's drive line is defective. Even in the 19's the tranny clunks. MY 14 was so bad I had 2 full file folders full of repairs. My 16 had the tranny replaced, driveshaft and t-case. Both with under 15K miles. Absolute Junk. In my experience there are only 3 options if you need a truck, Toyota, Ford or none. I picked Ford for the drive line. It's still expensive junk, but it's the best junk available unless you want old tech Tundra. If you choose option 1 and live in state with lemon laws similar to Texas, you don't need a lawyer. The state was very helpful in getting both my trucks bought back. I didn't even have to go to court because they knew I would win and they settled. Also, in Texas all you need is 3 repairs (get them in writing even if they say no) for the same problem before you file a claim. And a little birder who works for the company the actually buys back vehicles from manufacturers and picks them up from the dealer told me when you file a claim, mention SAFETY as reason for filing your claim. Hope you get your truck fixed.
  2. Might want to re-think going to ram, i lemoned my 14 ram limited and my 16 ram limited for clunky shiting transmission among tons of other problems, worst 2 vehicles ever owned besides my wifes grand Cherokee which left her stranded 3 times. Bought a ford with 10 speed, its been perfect with smooth shifting, it skips gears and generally uses 7 gears.
  3. I just checked out the 5 year 100K miles warranty for Titan and the only clause they have about vibration is with tire makers, not engineering defects.
  4. I drove 3 - 2015's a few months back and they all vibrated and had extremely rough idle. Also, 2 of the 3 tranny's clunked. Last week I drove 4 - 2016 GMC's. 3 of 4 vibrated and all 4x4's clunked, the 4x2 did not. I wouldn't touch a Chevy if you paid me. And I'm a Chevy guy, my last truck was a 2000 4x4 lifted that lasted me 13 years and I never had a single problem. Damn I kick myself for selling that truck. If I had only known of GM's problems. It shouldn't be a crap shoot to buy a 50K truck. I just lemon-ed my 2014 RAM 1500 Limited that had a defective transmission that clunked every time I stopped. Chrysler said they designed the 8-speed to flare out and clunk. They refused to fix it. I lost 20K on that truck even with the money FCA gave me. That RAM was the biggest piece of crap I every owned besides the 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee I bought my wife. I had so many repairs on that truck, I had 2 folders full of repair bills and the truck was 1.5 years old with 20K miles. Think twice before you buy a Chrysler. No more Chrysler junk for me. I'm off to get a Tundra tomorrow. They might be older technology but they are safe, well built, hold their value and are extremely reliable.
