Update on 2016 silverado the dealer replaced the cluster back in mid June haven't had an issue sinc. They told me the center screen wasn't communicating to the cluster due to something in the cluster had gone bad so that was the only fix they had. I had video of the issue and emailed it to my gm rep as well as my dealer contact because they didn't want to do anything because they couldn't reproduce issue but once they seen video the gm rep knew what the fix was and advised the dealer to change the cluster out. The truck hasn't had any issues since an I have put about 1700 miles since the work was done
