Great info, thank you. On my 2015 Canadian Silverado there are 5 wires in a six slots connector for light sensor. I will try to find which two I need to short out with the resistor.

Where do you place the resistor?

Thanks for the info, I know about getting stuck in the day mode for the dash. I plan to add a switch for the radio touch screen to keep it off. But one step at a time. First getting auto lights OFF.

Can you share which pins you used and the resistor size. I put 150 ohm from the single pin to the second one after the gap. It did nothing.
