  2. yeah we will figure this out haha! anything new let me know
  3. Yeah I suppose you are right, maybe once I get the exhaust system it won't really come to mind anymore aye?
  4. I honestly think I will be happier with a louder exhaust man, I am over this chatter man. It makes me feel like i am driving around a cheap truck.
  5. sucks man! Do you think a magna flow exhaust will cover up the noise?
  6. well man I just got back and they couldn't tell me anything. I don't know what to do, Im honestly about to buy a ****ing magna flow exhaust and hope that covers up the noise. Its just becoming to much for me and i am soooo over hearing that crap. ITS NOT NORMAL or all GMC trucks would make this noise every single second it was running.
  7. Yeah man i got you bud, tomorrow as soon as I get back from the dealer i will let you know!
  8. Yeah I don't know i am totally about to figure this out tomorrow for sure. ill be letting you know what happens!
  9. I just read this on another forum! "The Direct Injection system is the cause, The rapid ticking noise on cold start up is the fuel pump (located on the rear of the left cylinder head) building up high fuel pressure. When the engine warm-up is completed, the high pressure fuel pump will continue to tick at a lower rate of approximately one tick per second during idle. The clicking sound is the fuel injectors pulsing on and off under higher fuel pressures. This sound is a normal characteristic of Direct Injection Fuel high pressure fuel system." and then i watched this video but i don't think the video is what we are experiencing, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8P-KHximvs
  10. YESSS!!! What could that be? my dude up in Ohio is a mechanic and he worked for a GM dealer for like 5 years. he said its the new system they came out with and it just makes more noise then some are use to. He said he thinks he remembers it being the DI (direct Injector)
  11. Yeah, thats crazy man I cannot believe that! like sometimes i don't notice it, and others I do.Its like I'm looking for it now haha. I just hate it so much but love my truck even more haha. its really not bad, sometimes i wanna floor it right off a ****in bridge though haha.
  12. yeah i feel you on that QC, but i am just soooooo happy with the rest of my truck man! Honestly its only an LT but the color, the ride, interior! everything is awesome! Im so glad i didn't get a f150. I was looking at dodge but the looks just never caught my attention. only the 1500? the one that says RAM real big on the grill.
  13. That is INSAANE! They are beautiful trucks man. Its really nothing to get rid of my truck for I just don't wanna hear it anymore haha! Tomorrow is the end of days I hope haha. I honestly have read many of forums and may threads about this very problem we are going through and just the one guy said they replaced the water coolant pump and BLAM!! fixed it.
  14. Yeah i know they probably aren't going to do shit, this really doesn't have anything to do with the whole lemon law because it isn't anything that can harm me. I guess I just need to get the right mechanic under my hod and really check things out. I hope to god its something as stupid as a water pump because i ****ing love this truck. I feel like after awhile i won't even care anymore haha. plus its not ALL of the time.
  15. yeah I don't know, i made another appointment at another chevy dealer and I called GM again and spoke with a much higher supervisor. I think they might help me replace this truck with another since its under 30 days and this shit is consistently happening. I guess we will see.
  16. I have read about a few different guys running different octanes and it not helping. I never noticed if it was because of the AC or not. Im going to test that tonight. I did read one case where a guy had his water coolant pump replaced and said that fixed it. should i not e running the lowest octane in my truck? i always have with all my vehicles.
  17. Thats EXACTLY how mine is and its not all the time either. It just randomly happens.
  18. Yeah my buddy back home drives a Silverado as well, he's also a diesel mechanic so i am going to see if he can either figure it out or atlas explain it. I don't know what else to do because i even called GM and they just set me up an appointment. It really pisses me off that the second time i went out of three times the guy told me i could pull any truck off the lot and it would do the same thing. well i did just that and the SAME exact 2016 Silverado didn't make a single damn noise! So i have resorted to just playing music all the time. If you guys ever hear anything or figure this out please let me know.
  19. well i just got back from the dealership service department and they said it was nothing to worry about and that it is normal exhaust flow noise.... haha i guess Silverado's and Sierra's are a little noisy.
  20. I just got my 2016 Z71 like 3 weeks ago and mine started doing this about a week ago. I am going tomorrow to have it looked at and have a list of thing I think it could be or have read about others. I describe it as a fluttering or like maybe a card stuck in some bicycle spokes going really fast. Anyways two dealers have never went under the hood yet but drove with me and told me it was normal. I will post on here again if they fix it. One guys post I read on another forum was the water coolant pump? He said they replaced that and BOOM! fixed. I will find out though, unless you already have so please let me know!
  21. So I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado Z71 LT. I have a little under 5700 miles on it and have had it for 3 weeks. I loove this truck and especially when i first got it. But right now not so much! So anyways, I will be driving per usual, and its kind of random when it happens but once it starts it does not stop. So whenever i accelerate there is this faint fluttering noise that comes from the motor especially when i put it to the floor. The noise can be kind of described as a card stuck in some bicycle spokes maybe? I don't know, i have taken it to two different dealerships (chevy) and have driven around with some service guys and both have told me that this is a normal sound. For some reason I just cannot stomach that. So i went back and test drove another 2016 and it didn't make the noise at all so there is no way its "normal". Please if anyone can help let me know. Also I have read online that maybe its a U joint, Direct Injector or lifters? I don't know but any info will be great!
