  1. I just had the last TSB done and it drives better than when I bought it. Just picked it up at 1000, I hope it will stay that way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Mine is exactly and I mean exactly the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Understood, but I was told they use whatever your Lemon Law regulations are for your state. For example, MD's says that once you have tried 4 attempts to get this resolved with documentation to prove it, you can send GM Co. a final repair letter which requires them to respond within 30 days. Once they try the last repair attempt and it fails, they are required to replace or buy back your vehicle. If you are interested I can post the letter I sent and recommendations from the Attorney General's office. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. File Lemon Law with your state and contact the BBB. Both have been great so far. Once you file with the BBB you will get a call from GM Co. asking how they can help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah, we seem to be having the same problem.
  6. Is the play changed by your speed? Mine is fine until I hit 45 then becomes loose. Once I hit 76 it becomes normal.
  7. Currently I'm waiting for a Field Tech to look at my truck. I have had this issue since about 1600 miles, and still no resolve. Currently I have 16940 miles. This issue was brought to the attention of GM Corp. on December 07 via BBB since I was unable to get a permanent fix from multiple dealerships. I received a voicemail today explaining that we are still waiting to receive the scheduled for the Field Tech.
  8. What size is your lift? I have been working with GM Corp. and starting to get a resolution after they told me to remove the leveling kit that was installed by the dealer I purchased it from. If you have the time to work with them, I would since this issue is a hit or miss on getting resolved. Now when it comes to the lift, they told me it was the cause and to make sure it wasn't they told me to remove it by a dealer and have a dealer test drive it and confirm that its still having the issue. As you can guess it still is. I will be fighting this all the way up to the top if needed since clearly other owners are having the same issue with no lift or level. From what I have gathered from legal sources that have been to trial with dealers and auto corps before, they will not make a recall until something fatal happens due to that component. This is unfortunate but seems to be that way. One last thing, I have had my truck at 4 different dealers GMC and Chevy and they both say the same thing "We have never heard of this issue or the TSB's". Can some one explain that to me since this seems to be a common thing.
  9. Hey Nick, Thanks for the update. I'm still waiting to see if GM will do anything about this since I currently have the modification done to my truck. I was hesitate to take them off since my dealer was the one that put them on. I didn't want them to come back and say since I took them off I had again modified the vehicle. But as everyone can see this would have nothing to do with it since unmodified trucks are having the same issue. It's now just a blame game. What was your turn around time when it came to getting a call from the GM department that handles the BBB cases and your resolution. Like I said in my previous post, they called me last Thursday asking me to explain my issue and they will investigate and call back. I haven't heard anything yet. PS. I was able to get the shakes to go away about 85% by adding something. "modification" If I didn't I was going to be sick every time I drove to work. So I don't know if that will also hinder me with my resolution.
  10. Good Morning Everyone, Does anyone have any recommendations on how I should proceeded with my issue? Anything would help. I feel like I'm in a stalemate with GM. I have multiple posts on this topic. I have received a call from GM about my BBB file but that was Thursday of last week, and I have heard nothing since. I unfortunately have to drive this truck 92 miles a day back and forth to work, the mileage keeps increasing which I fear could be another reason they won't fix it.
  11. This is the issue, they won't take responsibility for it. The problem with dealerships, they are only in it for the money nowadays, and we can't get anything accomplished. What happened to the customer was always right? Now we always have to find proof and when we do it by using technology and communicate with other people that have the same vehicles, its always a "LIE". Now I know we have all been to the dealers and had this documented in GM's system, so how do they not see this as a trend? Is no one watching the system to see if more than one person has this issue? I mean come on they have a data base to look things up, they are all connected to the same corporate network. I would like a GM Rep that I know is on the forums to comment on this topic. I know they are reading this and not responding. They respond to most of the other topics on this forum but when it comes to the safety of "us" the driver and our families I see nothing. This is not some BS problem, this is "STEERING", something that is needed to be safe. Like I said in other posts this is something that could cause a fatality if not taken seriously. I will not put my son back into this death trap. Some people may say that I'm over reacting with the "death trap" comment, but this is a +60K truck that isn't small and could cause a lot of damage if something completely fails. And yes I believe that could happen since the most current dealer just told me that my pit man arm is really loose, but can do nothing about it unless I pay them, or I can take the truck back. So it seems that I can just drive around with something that could fail at anytime.
  12. So, does anyone know if or how we can get access or a copy of the notes that are on our trucks? From what I was told by a local dealer they only put the very basic information on https://my.gmc.com . I would like to see the notes that they really did preform all or the 3 TSB's on my truck.
  13. Let me give you a little back story on my truck. I have been working with GM Corp. for the past month with no resolve. During that time I have been told that the lift has changed the way my truck is stock and it will be unwarranted. As you know I had this work done by the GMC dealership I purchased the truck from (Anderson GMC). So far I have had 3 of the TSB's done "UNDER WARRANTY" on the steering issue "#PIT5501", "#PIT5501B", "#PIT5501C". None have fixed the issue and I am still having it. From what I know from other people having this issue they now have 5 TSB's out for the steering issue to include the last one "#PIT5501D". So to conclude this I have brought by truck to a new dealer to preform the last TSB (#PIT5501D) which they said NO.... since in the notes it says unwarranted due to lift. So that being said I can't even get them to finish any TSB's with the notes GM Corp put in. I have contacted the BBB and filed a complaint on GM Corp. to get this resolved. Because from day one they have been playing the blame game with other dealerships. Also to add to the negligence of the case I was just told today by GM Corp that my vehicle was "Sold" and not mine anymore as of August. Also to note, I had the leveling kit and larger tires with install in the purchase order from Anderson GMC. I brought it back to Anderson a week after I purchased it for the steering issue before the leveling kit and tires installed. They installed it 2 weeks after I purchased the truck since they said the steering was in spec and they didn't have a TSB out yet.
  14. What TSB did you have done? From what I have seen, the most up to date is #PIT5501D. If I'm mistaken please let me know.
  15. Also after speaking with MD Attorney General's Office, I was able to clarify that modifications like "leveling kit" and "larger tires" doesn't effect the Lemon Law. Now they didn't say if it was because the dealer that I purchased from did the modification, or if its because in the Lemon Law it doesn't state that your vehicle can't be modified to fall under the Lemon Law.
  16. Hey Nick, I was able to file a BBB complaint. At this point I told them that I would like to get it fixed and not a new truck. If this problem can't be rectified do I have no other choice then to take a new truck? I know I'm asking a lot of questions, and maybe you can't answer them but you are much further along in the process then me, and you are also in MD. I received a call from someone at GM in a new department. I can't remember the department name, but how is your process so far? Also have you been in contact with the MD Attorney General? I was told by my legal counsel to contact them and make a case. Most cases will be a lemon law case but they will have more of a back bone to go after GM Corporate.
  17. Have you guys heard of this? I gave this to GM Corp. and received a call from management the next day. I don't know if some of you guys are in the same boat as me with a leveling kit and new UCA's but its worth mentioning. Magnuson–Moss Warranty ActThe act states that a dealer must prove that aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before it can deny warranty coverage. https://www.ftc.gov/enforcement/statutes/magnuson-moss-warranty-federal-trade-commission-improvements-act
  18. So I'm just going to start with, we all seem to be having the same issue but nothing seems to fix it. Let me give you a little back ground. I have a 2016 2500HD Denali that I purchased new with 12 miles on it. I'm not a fan of the rake in the rear so I wanted to get it leveled. That said I had the dealer write up tires and leveling kit in the deal. They said it would take about a week to get the tires and leveling kit. I was fine with that so I took the truck and waited for the call. During the first 2 days, I had it back to the dealership twice for alignment and wheel balance. Not knowing that the shakes have been a problem in the past, and this is my first GM truck. About 11 days went by and I got a call to bring it in for the install. Install was done, everything looked great but from that point forward I noticed that my steering would get extremely loose feeling between the speeds of +45 to 75 Mph. If I go below 45 Mph the steering gets tight and if I go above 75 Mph the steering is tight. I brought it back to the dealer and they said everything was in spec and it seems normal. So I left and noticed it was still doing it. Took it back to the dealer the next day. I was a little upset about it and told them I need it fixed and to talk to a manager. The manager came out and said " I have spoken to the owner and we have decided that we don't want your business and will not work on you truck". My level of pissed went up a few notches. I called GM Corp and explained that I have an issue and the dealer refused to help. I never received a call back from them after they said we will speak to the dealer. I was able to find a dealer that was 2 minutes from work. So I told them of the issue and they said no problem we will fit it. Great no problem I thought, well I was wrong. I have had the truck in 7 times for this steering issue and when I get it back they say its fixed every time. So this last time I saw that GM had a TSB out on the steering box. I printed it out and gave them the TSB, since somehow they had no idea that the TSB even existed. I Got a call to pick up the truck 2 days later saying it was fixed and they followed the TSB. Great so its DONE again. Well I drive about a mile down the road and its still doing it. At this point I was so pissed off that I called GM Corp. and said this is unacceptable I want this fixed NOW. So GM called the dealer and asked what was going on, and to my surprise the GM Rep called the dealer that sold me the truck and installed the leveling kit and tires. So to surprise me again the dealer and GM said its not a warranty issue since I voided my warranty when I had the leveling kit and tires installed. No one at the dealer said the warranty would be voided it I had the leveling kit installed. I mean come on, why would I have it written up in my contract for these parts and install on a 60K+ truck if I knew I was trashing my warranty. So I have no idea what I'm going to do at this point.
