  1. They didn't detect anything in the diagnostics. Just that I need new break pads. So now there's probably $1,300 I have to spend on the compressor and new pads.
  2. They've never detected anything wrong with mine or been able to renact it.
  3. Yeah the problem that I have is that my dealership didn't find any problems. I guess they can look at it again this Monday when I have to get my ac fixed since it went out TODAY!!!
  4. I didn't ever found out the real problem with mine. The problem has been gone for a month or two but I have had 2 minor occurances in the last week.(no shutdown just the messages)
  5. Stanley, is GM/Chevy going to help with the damages in any way?
  6. Yes I saw that video too. That's exactly what the steering wheel used to do. It would jerk back like the one in the video did and we even showed the video to the service tech when we were dropping it off.
  7. Yeah I'm sure all our cars are or had the same problem with the steering. I just can't believe that mine was suggested as a traction control error because it happened in the same spot. It hasn't happened again so we'll see. If it happens again I'll be looking at the 2016 silverados.
  8. My Silverado has not had the problem since I brought it to the dealership (in Baton Rouge). The autozone story is interesting. I'll bring it by soon. I don't think I'd ever leave chevy/GMC because I've never had any problems with them besides this and my Silverado has been pretty solid. I also don't like the new f150s anyway.
  9. Thanks Dayton I totally agree. My dad and I thought it was BS too but we just let it go. When I started to describe the problem to them their eyes light up and said they've never heard of it before. The reason why they said it's traction control is because the diagnostics found nothing wrong with the truck and that " its running as designed"
  10. It's frustrating but if it happens again I'll bring it back
  11. Pretty much. They said your really only supposed to have it on in the rain or snow.
  12. They fixed all recal items and told me the problem was that a wheel was slipping on the turn causing traction control to stop the truck or something. So they told me to turn traction control off...
  13. Dropping it off Tuesday afternoon so they'll have Wednesday to work on it. I'll get y'all updated
  14. I created a post with the same problem. I have a 2014 Silverado LTZ and it will sometimes lock up and stall on a certain turn. Bringing it in Wednesday or Thursday and will post the answer on my topic, steering wheel lock up. One person replied with the same problem on his 2014 Sierra and had "the problem" fixed only to have it stall again on a u turn. The first time around he said they said the battery was loose or something.
  15. Thanks for the replies. Dayton, please give us your feedback as I will for mine. I'm bringing mine in to Gerry lane GMC-Cadillac this Wednesday or Thursday. If they say something about the battery, I will tell them about your situation and how your problem continued. I've called mechanics around town and some have no clue as to what the problem might be. I think it is an electrical problem and not mechanical. Something is causing the stabilitrack to go off and then it causes it to shut off. Hopefully Gerry Lane knows what the problem is and can fix it. I'm also going to get the recals fixed while it's in.
  16. No really particular time just location. Their is a cell tower near by but my neighborhood is closer to it than his.
  17. Thanks for your insights. I still drive it everywhere. I can only make it Happen in the same spot. I will bring it to a mechanic soon and let y'all know what the problem was. I've heard that sometimes with new cars you have to update the computer software because cars no have electric powered steering.
  18. Ok I'll try that tomorrow thanks for the info
  19. I bought it in October with about 64,000 and I hit 66,000 the other day
  20. I spoke with my neighbor, who is a mechanic, on the phone about the problem. He specializes in BMW, jaguar, etc. Not in chevy. He told me what might be happing is that since it's a sharp and narrow turn, one of my wheels might be slipping causing all the sensors to go off. He said there might also be something with the steering, forgot what he said. He did tell me to bring it to another mechanic.
