My 2000 Silverado, along with multiple "old age" problems, now has a dead passenger door power window. Pressing the button produces a "click" inside the door, but the window doesn't move. I at least want to get the door panel off to investigate the possible problem, but not sure how to attack it without damaging anything in the disassembly. Does anyone have a step-by-step procedure how to proceed with doing this? Also, if anyone else has already experienced this same problem, could you share what the issue was and how it was fixed? I've got a 2000 5.3L Silverado that has been puzzling me for quite awhile. Whenever I start it and drive with the engine cold, there is a strong resistance to pressing down on the gas pedal. Once I break past that hitch, it is smooth the rest of the travel. If I let off back to the top, it has that same resistance again. It almost feels like the cable, choke or pedal itself has a burr fighting the effort to press the pedal from rest. Once I've driven several miles and the temp reaches full operating temperature, it goes away and the entire pedal is smooth again. It's also smooth if the truck isn't started yet. I checked the cable, pedal and everything else I can see but nothing looks obvious. I even lightly lubed the physical pedal contact spots and sprayed the cable swivels around the intake with no change. Any ideas or has this happened to you?
