What an awesome analysis!!! I'm open to suggestions for any tow mirror (aftermarket or OEM) that will retain full functionality of the DL3. Looks like the 1786 model is out of stock anyway. If you or anyone has part numbers for OEM or known PnP mirrors you've worked with I'd be all ears (or where to buy either online!!) Let me know via PM or here. Kinda sounds like the aftermarket is a PIA.

So thankful for the information in this thread. I'm looking to convert my 2015 Silverado LTZ with DL3 mirrors to the tow mirror DQS. A while back there was mention of 1AAuto after-market mirrors being compatible with these custom wiring harnesses from pgamboa. After reading through this thread I didn't see further updates with that? Specifically which mirror on 1AAuto I'd be looking at. After comparing a few models I'm becoming confused with similarities and differences of their aftermarket products (unless it's only cosmetic in nature): PART #: 1AMRP01771 PART #: 1AMRP01792 PART #: 1AMRP01786 PART #: 1AMRP01792 Curious if there are success stories on a specific mirror from them to save some $$$. Or if Id be better off going OEM. Either way I'll be needing some harnesses! Thanks.
