  1. Yes, with minor modifications on a 2014 Sierra. It's a tight fit, but a snug fit. I had to cut the front and rear battery supports however I'm not concerned about it moving around at all -- the back of the battery is flush on the firewall and has a paper thin clearance from the reservoir. It's in their very snug. See my post here yesterday. Not sure the newer vehicles still have the same clearances, but yes, I did it.
  2. Yes, with a minor modification. I was curious about this and read this thread as my battery hit the bucket this morning. I just went with the Walmart brand, I watched Project Farm's video and was impressed with how it held up against other brands and it's cost. While I was there I pulled out the 94R, and was looking at the H8 which is just a bit longer and was the same price. After pondering for a minute, I made the call to give it a shot knowing I'll probably need to make some modifications. I can confirm, a H8 battery will fit, but it will require you to grind the front and rear support that secure the smaller battery size. It is definitely a tight fit -- With the front/rear support cut and smoothed out, I was able to get it in with loosening one bolt holding the adjacent reservoir. If you angle it towards the driver headlight, you can get it in with a firm shove. I'm not concerned at all about it moving around, the back of the battery is resting flush on the firewall, and with the side support and battery clamp down -- It's in there very snug, firmer than the 94R I replaced. It has like a paper thin clearance from the reservoir. The connections were not an issue. Tight, tight fit but glad I did it. I'm in Canada and my concern is the winter months, it is a peace of mind knowing I have that extra CCA(1105) when it's below freezing and 90 Ah for additional accessories. This was done on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500.
  3. Understanding the factory module won't work without expensive reprogramming ..Does anyone know of a trailer break that "looks" OEM that can be retrofitted instead? I have a 2014 with the change cubby and I would be willing to order the GM dash piece if someone happens to know of a "OEM-ish" trailer break that works. Sure, their great aftermarket ones but I would like to see one that 'appears factory'. I'm sure someone has designed one and can point anyone reading this thread in the same boat in the right direction.
