    2018 GMC Sierra Elevation - Double Cab - 4X4 - 5.3
  1. I lurk around the forums quite a bit. I soak up all the knowledge and info I can. I've been wanting to give my truck (2018 Sierra Elevation - Black) a super clean, sealant and wax. Hunting Season and winter is right around the corner. So from digging around here I used many of the ideas suggestions I came across. 1. Foamed the truck with dish soap. I wanted to remove all the old wax etc. 2. Hand washed with the two bucket system with a micro fiber mitt - Still using dish soap. 3. Used a leaf blower to dry it off, then used a micro fiber drying towel. 4. Did a minor amount of paint correction - McGuire's Scratch x 2.0 5. Clay bar'd the whole truck - McGuire's Clay Kit 6. Added a layer of Adam's paint sealant 7. Waxed with Adams butter wax. 8. Used McGuire's Hot Shine on the tires. This is the first time I ever used any Adam's products. I was quite impressed with the ease of use. Tho I'm not sure about the butter wax. I do have to admit that at that point, I was having a hard time keeping the truck in the shade. It just seamed to not apply nice and even for me. Over all I am happy with the results. I thank everyone for all the good tips. What is a good tire dressing that gives that really wet look and lasts? Any other wax suggestions that would really make the paint pop out at you?
  2. Thank You! No rubbing at all.
  3. Bilstien 5100's on highest setting. Stock Rims with Falken Wildpeak AT3 285/55/20.
  4. Best All Terrain Tire?

I just put these tires on my truck. I only have about 400 miles on them, so I can't comment much. But they are much better than the Continentals that came with the truck when dealing with the snow and ice here in the northeast. They look cool too.
  5. All weather mats

I use Husky front and rear. They fit well and have full coverage and don't slide around. In the rear I have the Husky under seat storage so I did not get the rear mat that goes fully under the seat. I didn't want to have to remove everything to take the back mat out. I like Husky.
  6. Hey All, Been hanging around reading on all the news, ideas, tips, tricks and opinions. Finally decided to create an account. I have a 2018 GMC Sierra Elevation 1500 and a 1991 Chevy Silverado (My Sons First truck/Driving project). Just figured I would drop in and say "Hello". Thanks Tom
